The Cavalier (CAVALIER COACHING & SECURITY NETWORK PVT.LTD) is a defence exam preparation and training institute organized by ex-defence officers to forward their expertise to the young generation into joining the defence forces as officers.

They offer both online and offline classes and also interview preparation.

The institute branches are located in Bengaluru, Kochi, Pune, Lucknow, Sikandarabad, and Tiruvandram.

1) AFCAT

AFCAT i.e. Airforce Common Admission Test is a computer-based exam for serving in The Indian Air Force. The exam contains 100 questions that consist of Mathematics, Reasoning, Aptitude, and General Knowledge.

The exam is of 2 hour duration which includes negative marking. This exam allows you to join the Indian Air Force as a Flying Officer, Technical or, Non-Technical officer based on your AFCAT scores and Interview. The Cavalier is among the top 5 AFCAT Institutes in New Delhi, India.

2) CDS

CDS is a combined defence services exam for recruiting students in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. This is a national-level exam conducted twice a year in April and September. There is a written exam and an interview in the selection process.

The exam pattern includes English, General Knowledge, and Mathematics. Each paper contains 100 marks for 2 hours duration.

3) NDA

NDA (National Defense Academy) is a competitive exam conducted at an intermediary level for recruitment in the Indian Navy, Army, and Air Force.

The exam contains two papers General Ability Test and Mathematics. The exam contains 900 marks in which the candidate must score at least 360-70 marks to clear for the interview round. The exam is taken in two phases - Written and Interview.

This is a national-level exam conducted twice a year in April and September.

4) SSB Interview

After clearing the written examinations such as CDS, OTA, AFCAT, NDA, TA, and Coast Guard, you will have to clear the SSB Interview round to get selected for the defence forces of India.

You can also appear for the SSB Interview if you get shortlisted in direct entries from TES, TGC, UES, SSC Tech, etc. It is a five-day interview process that is completed in multiple rounds of personality, physical, group discussion, and knowledge tests.

5) Army Cadet College (ACC)

The Army Cadet College conducts a recruitment exam to train soldiers for serving in the Army, Navy, and Air Force to become officers. This is one of the wings of IMA that is also known as the Siachen Battalion.

The training at Army Cadet College is a four-year program where a JNU Graduation degree is also provided. 

The exam is divided into four papers which are taken in offline mode.  This is a national-level exam conducted twice a year in April and September.

6) Territorial Army

Territorial Army is a graduate-level exam for candidates interested in serving as officers in the Defense Forces. This is a chance to serve the nation in two capacities i.e. as a civilian and a soldier. This is based on the concept of preparing a trained force to be readily available during war.

This is a 2-hour exam with a total of 200 marks. There is an interview as well. The subjects covered in this exam are Mathematics, English, Reasoning, and General Knowledge. The candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks overall and a minimum of 40% marks in each section.

7) CAPF

This is a Central Armed Police Force Examination conducted at the national level to serve as assistant commandant for maintaining Law & Order and Counter-Terrorism Operations in the Nation. This exam includes a written test, a physical test, and an interview in the selection process.

There are two papers in the written exam which are objective type and descriptive type.

8) Coast Guard

This national-level exam is of intermediate level for Navik and Yantrik posts. The exam contains a written test and a physical fitness test. The written exam is objective and is taken in two parts. There is no negative marking.

The exam comprises Mathematics, Science, English, Reasoning, General Knowledge, Chemistry and Physics subjects. The total marks in paper 1 is 60 and paper 2 is 50 which is taken in 45 minutes and 30 minutes respectively.
