NDA

The National Defence Academy or NDA examination is among the most chosen career paths for individuals in India. The purpose of organising this examination is to select aspirants for the Air force, Navy and Army. The NDA examination is organised two times in a year. The NDA exam is of two stages- a written and an interview round. The students are required to clear the written examination to appear in the SSB interview. This exam is a doorway for aspirants who want to go into defence services after completing class 12th.

Airforce Group X and Y

Indian Air Force conducts a national level examination two times a year to select aspirants for Airmen Group X and Y positions. The recruiting process of the Indian Air Force  exam is organised by the Indian Air Force. The recruitment process of IAF Group X and Y contain 3 rounds including the Physical fitness test, medical test and written test. To get the position under Group X or Y, aspirants need to pass all selection rounds. The selection for AirForce Group X and Y will be done on behalf of merit along with performance of candidates in other rounds.

ARMY CADET COLLEGE (ACC)

The full form of ACC is Army Cadet College. A written examination and a selection process decide who gets admission in ACC. Many officers of the Indian Army enrolls through ACC. The ACC Exam is only open for active duty members of the Navy, Air Force and Army. ACC Is the only option for the defence force of all three members. Soldiers who enroll in the ACC will finish their further studies and be commissioned officers eventually in the Indian Army. The location of training for all ACC Cadets is Military Academy of dehradun.

CDS (Combined Defence Services)

Full form of CDS is Combined Defence Services; it is a selection procedure managed by the UPSC. The CDS examination acts as an entrance for aspiring students desiring to join the Indian Armed Forces, together with the Navy, Air Force and Army. Happening two times a year, this exam assesses candidates aptitude, Interpersonal Skills and Intelligence. Graduated students from any academic background can choose for their service branch and after successful completion can undergo training at reputable institutions like Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

AFCAT

AFCAT is an examination organised by the Indian Air Force, acting as the main entrance for individuals desiring to be an officer in different branches, including Ground Duty(Technical and Non Technical), Flying. This test assesses candidates' expertise in areas such as verbal ability, reasoning, military aptitude, general awareness and numerical ability. Successfully passing an AFCAT exam is an important landmark as it opens the opportunity to upcoming stages of selection. AFCAT exams take place Two times a year in February and August.

SSB Interview

SSB stands for Service Selection Board. SSB is founded by the Defense Ministry of India to organise the interview for selecting officers in Indian Armed Forces. The interviewers give more attention to mental fitness instead of physical fitness but physical fitness is also required to clear the interview.
