B.Tech Admission After 12th with 55%: Want to pursue B.Tech but scored 55% in 12th? There are several students in India who have a dream of pursuing a B.Tech but are worried that they scored 55% marks in 12th class. Well, do not worry as there are several options available for the students.
Most of the universities only require 50% or above marks for the BTech admission. Students who are looking for a University that accepts 55% can go for the Lovely Professional University (LPU), SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), VIT University, and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) as their criteria for the admission is very minimal.
For admission at these Universities, Students require to complete class 12th from a recognized Board with 55% and above.

If you do not get admission to the Government Engineering Colleges, don’t be disappointed, as there are Private Engineering Colleges that offer quality education and have excellent placement options.
You can apply for Direct Admission to Private Engineering Colleges in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad. There are several Engineering Colleges in the NCR region that offer admission to students on the basis of their Class 12 marks.

B.Tech or the Bachelor of Technology course consists of subjects in Engineering and Technology. The B.Tech course in most of the top Private Engineering Colleges in India is approved by AICTE or the All India Council of Technical Education. There are several specializations of the B.Tech course and students can choose their desired field of Engineering based on their interests and passion.
Candidates can get admission to the B.Tech after passing 12th with 55% if they appear for the National level Entrance exam JEE Main or state-level Entrance exams like SRMJEE/KIITEE/MHT CET/AP-EAMCET.

It is also possible to get admission in B.Tech after passing 12th with 55% through the Institutional quota. Candidates can get admission to the B.Tech program through the Management quota seats that are reserved in many of the top Private Colleges. The Management quota seats are also known as Institutional quota seats. So, students who are really interested in studying Engineering but have not secured more than 55% marks in Class 12 exams need not be worried.
You can easily get admission to the top Private B.Tech Colleges through the Management quota by paying the Donation fees (also known as Developmental fees) to these Colleges. However, many other Private Colleges offer admission in B.Tech after passing 12th with 55% aggregate without any Donation fees.
Students, if you have not performed well in your Class 12 exams you need not take a gap year. It is also not mandatory to get a high score in the Entrance exams if you are applying for direct admission to Private B.Tech Colleges.
