The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has also made some changes in the exam pattern of 10th and 12th standard students. Recently, CBSE announced the changes in the exam pattern of English (Core) for class 12th. Now, the CISCE announced the changes in the ICSE and ISC exam pattern to make it “student-school friendly.” The following steps are taken to do so.
- Advertising - Well said by someone, “Sometimes, second chances work out even better than the first because you learn from your mistakes.” Keeping the same thing in mind the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has taken an impressive initiative by introducing the compartment exams of ICSE and ISC level students. All the students who fail to score the passing marks in 2019 in 10th and 12th standard can appear for compartment exam. According to an official announcement regarding the same, a student can give only one compartment exam in a year. The compartment examination will be held in the of July of the particular year and result will be announced in August.
- For ICSE Students - As per the announcement made by the council. From the year 2021, the changes will be made in the exam pattern of 10th and 12th standard students. New subjects will be added to the choice list of the ICSE and ISC students. The candidates applying for ICSE and has a Thai nationality can apply for Group I History, Civics and Geography (Thailand). Others can also opt for the same. All the aspirants will have a study either History, Civics and Geography (Thailand) or History, Civics and Geography
- For ISC Students - Subjects of Hospitality Management and Legal studies will be added to the syllabus of 10th standard students. CISCE also announced the syllabus changes and the variations in the question paper of 10th and 9th standard. They will follow a similar pattern of class 6th and class 8th.
- Some changes are also made in the syllabus of English. In the English paper - II, the Shakespearean play, prose (short stories) and poetry will be made compulsory for all students at both the levels i.e. ICSE and ISC. There will be new rules for teachers also. Training programmes will be made compulsory for teachers at elementary ISC and ICSE levels.
Note - All the process related to examinations will be made online from 2019 itself. Subject-wise marks, Paper-wise marks will be given to students English, History, Civics and Geography and Science on the statement of marks.
