PU CET 2026:

PU CET Exam Notification: PU CET (UG) dates have been revised and the examination is going to be conducted on 1 August 2026 while the dates for PU CET (PG) are yet to be released. The PU CET Registration Form filling process will be started from 11th April 2026 for the undergraduate programs. Interested candidates who are willing to take admission in various UG programs at Punjab University can register online on the official website of PU CET.

The PU CET Registration Form for Post-graduate programs has been extended till 26 March 2026. The dates are being revised. The PU CET Exam 2026 for various undergraduate programs is going to be conducted on 1 August 2026. Earlier it was supposed to be conducted on 16 March 2026.

About PU CET:

Punjab University Common Entrance Test (PU CET) is conducted by the Punjab University to provide admissions to the candidates in various UG and PG programs that the university offers. PU CET Exam 2026: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have passed the 10+2 board examination from a recognized institute are eligible for Punjab University Common Entrance Exam and they can register themselves online on the official website of Punjab University.
• The candidate must be a citizen of India. Foreign students will be given the NRI quota for admission.
• Candidates must be 17 years old as of 31 December 2026 to be eligible for PU CET ADmission 2026.

For Physically Handicapped Candidates:

• Preference will be given to the candidates suffering from Locomotor disabilities.
• Candidates with blindness (including colorblindness) and those who are dumb or deaf are not eligible to sit in the PU CET 2026.

PU CET Admission Process 2026:

Candidates who are willing to take admission in various UG and PG programs at Punjab University can check the PU CET Admission Process 2026.

Step 1: Registration

First of all the candidates will have to register themselves online on the official website of Punjab University to apply for the Entrance Test. To register successfully candidates are required to enter their details such as name, Email address, and Phone Number.

Step 2: Fill PU CET Registration Form 2026

To appear for the entrance test candidates will have to fill PU CET Registration Form 2026. Here candidates must make sure that the registration form must be filled and submitted before the deadline. After filling the registration fee, candidates must pay the required registration fee. The registration fee for General category candidates is Rs 2,100 and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories will have to pay Rs 1050. The registration fee for Additional Paper-like Biology / Math is Rs 300. 

Candidates can pay the registration fee via Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking and Demand Draft. 

Step 3: Download PU-CET (UG) 2026 Admit Card

After filling out the registration form, candidates can get their PU CET Admit Card which is an important document to appear for the examination. The admit card will be made available online and applicants can download the admit card from the official website of Panjab University.

Step 4: Appear for Punjab University Common Entrance Test 2026

The Punjab University entrance exam is going to be conducted on 1 August 1, 2026. The entrance test will consist of 4 papers each with 70 minutes duration. The Test will be conducted for the subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. 

Step 5: Check PU CET Exam Result 2026

The PU CET Exam Result is going to be declared on the official website of Punjab University in the form of a scorecard. The result is expected to be released after 7-10 days from the completion of the Entrance Test.

Step 6: PU Counselling

Applicants who have cleared the Entrance Test are required to attend the counseling round. A candidate must be present for the counseling session in the university counseling center. Here candidates must make sure they appear with all the required and supporting documents.
