Punjab State Teaching Eligibility Test (PSTET) is conducted by the Punjab state to recruit candidates as a teacher for government and private schools. The PSTET Exam is divided into 2 parts. One is the lower primary TET which is for the candidates who want to teach students from class I to V. Second is the upper primary TET which is for the candidates who want to teach students from class VI to VIII.
After qualifying the exam, you will be able to teach the school students. After the result declaration, if you qualify the exam or just touch the cutoff marks, a certificate will be provided to you by the Punjab State Board. You can apply to any school in Punjab till 7 years as the scorecard provided to you will be valid till 7 years.

Punjab State Teaching Eligibility Test is an exam conducted by the Punjab State by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Punjab. It has 2 levels of paper. Paper I is for the candidates who want to teach lower Primary level and paper II is for the upper primary level.
The lower primary level is from class I to V and the upper primary level is from class VI to VIII. The eligibility criteria and syllabus for both levels are different. For Level I
☞ 12th or it's equivalent with minimum marks of 50%. Passed or pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
☞ 12th or it's equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks. Passed or pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per the NCTE Regulations, 2002.
☞ 12th or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursuing a 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education.
☞ Class 12th or it's equivalent with minimum marks of 50%. Passed or pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Education.
☞ A Bachelor’s degree or pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
For level II
☞ Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree or in the last year of the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
☞ Candidates should have a graduation degree with 50% marks. Passed or pursuing 1 year B.Ed degree.
☞ Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks. Passed or pursuing 1 year B.Ed according to the NCTE Regulations, 2002.
☞ 12th or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursuing 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education.
☞ 12th or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. Passed or pursuing 4-year B.A. Ed/ B.A or B.Sc.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
☞ Passed or pursuing 1-year B.Ed. with at least 50% marks.
