UP Polytechnic Entrance Syllabus 2024: Download PDF
UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam Syllabus is based on the 10th/ 11th/12th level and the course they apply for. If a candidate wants to take admission in Engineering and Technology in Diploma then the entrance exam will contain questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
If a candidate wants to take admission in pharmacy programs, then the entrance exam will contain questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology subjects. If a candidate appears in the UP Polytechnic Entrance 2024 then he/she should have the UP Polytechnic Syllabus beforehand for securing high marks in the exam.

Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Different Groups
For Group A (Engineering & Technology Diploma)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 10th or any equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks
- Subject-Wise Marks: Maths - 50%, Physics & Chemistry - 50%
- Duration: 3 Years
For Group B (Agriculture Engineering Diploma)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 10th and 12th with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks with agriculture as one of its compulsory subjects.
- Subject-Wise Marks: Maths-50%, Physics, Chemistry & Agriculture - 50%
- Duration: 3 Years
For Group C (Fashion Designing and Garment Technology)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 10th or any equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks
- Duration: 3 Years
For Group C (Home Science)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 10th or any equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks
- Duration: 2 Years
For Group C (Textile Design)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 10th or any equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks
- Duration: 3 Years
For Group C Textile Design (Printing)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 10th or any equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks
- Duration: 3 Years
For Group D (Office Management & Secretarial Practice)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 10th or any equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks with Hindi and English Subjects.
- Duration: 2 Years
For Group Library & Information Science/ Modern
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 12th or any equivalent exam with Hindi and English Subjects.
- Duration: 2 Years
For Group E (Pharmacy Diploma)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 12th with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Maths/Biology (Zoology and Botany) with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks
- Duration: 2 Years
- Subject-Wise Marks: Physics and Chemistry - 50%, Biology or Maths - 50%
For Group E (Pharmacy Diploma)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 12th with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Maths/Biology (Zoology and Botany) with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks
- Duration: 2 Years

For Group F (PG Diploma in Biotechnology)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have qualified his/her graduation in B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) in Biology, Chemistry, OR Biochemistry Subject
- Duration: 1 Year
- Subject-Wise Marks: Botany- 25%, Chemistry - 50%, Zoology - 25%
For Group G (PG diploma courses)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have qualified his/her graduation in any stream (Arts, Science and Commerce)
- Duration: 1 Year
- Subject-Wise Marks: English comprehension – 20%, Numerical Ability – 15%, Reasoning – 30%, General Intelligence – 20%, General Awareness – 15%
For Group H (Hotel Management and Catering Technology diploma)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks
- Duration: 3 Years
- Subject-Wise Marks: Reasoning & Logical Discussion – 25% Numerical Ability & Scientific attitude – 25%, English – 25%, General Knowledge – 25%
For Group I (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 12th Exam with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) Group Subjects with a minimum aggregate of 50% Marks
- Duration: 3 Years
For Group I (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma)-(Avionics)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed their 12th Exam with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) Group Subjects with a minimum aggregate of 50% Marks
- Duration: 3 Years
- Subject-Wise Marks: Physics & Chemistry – 50%, Maths – 50%
For Group J (PG Diploma in Information and Technology)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed his/her Diploma in any branch of Engineering
- Duration: 1 Year
For Group K (K1 to K8) (Lateral entry in engineering and technology diploma courses)
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed Intermediate Science or ITI (with minimum 2 years duration) OR. Applicant must have passed his/her Intermediate Science with Vocational/ Technical subjects
- Duration: 1 Year
- Subject-Wise Marks: Physics, Chemistry & Math – 40%, Relevant discipline – 60%
