HPSC Exam 2025 Pattern

The pattern of the HPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam

• The scores received in the General Studies Paper decide the HCS Prelims result, however, the CSAT paper is deemed qualifying with a need of 33% marks.
• 0.25 is deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Offline (Objective Multiple Choice Questions) exam style 

The pattern of the HPSC Civil Services Main Exam

• The number of candidates called for the HPSC HCS Mains Exam will be 12 times the number of vacancies.
• Candidates must select two optional subjects from a list of 23 possibilities.
• The primary test for the HPSC consists of five traditional essay-type question exams.
• Descriptive is the exam mode. 

HCS 2024 HPSC Interview

• Candidates who score the same as or higher than the HCS cut-off will be invited to participate in a personality test/interview conducted by the HPSC.
• A minimum aggregate of 45% in all main written question papers and 33% in Hindi and English is necessary for applicants to qualify for the HCS interview. The HPSC will arrange the personality test for three times the number of candidates announced for the HCS examination.

HPSC HCS 2024 Qualification 

The following are the eligibility criteria for the HPSC HCS Exam 2024 in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

Age Restrictions

Candidates must be between the ages specified in the HPSC HCS Notification 2025. The required age limit for each post is listed below. 

Qualifications in Education

A graduate degree from a UGC-recognized university is required. Candidates for this exam must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. You can apply even if you are in your final year of your Bachelor's program

HPSC Total Number of Attempts

According to the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC), there is no fixed limit on the number of times applicants can take the exam. Applicants may continue to take the exam until they exceed the age limit.
