About CENTAC Exam 2024:

CENTAC stands for the Centralized Admission Committee which works under the government of Puducherry. It is an entrance exam that acts as a common gateway for candidates who are seeking admission in the Union Territory of Pondicherry. Through this examination, candidates can take admission in both governments as well as private institutes. Candidates will be given admission on the basis of marks performed by the candidates in the last qualifying examination and rank in the merit list which will be released by the CENTAC.

CENTAC Exam 2024: Overview

CENTAC Exam Eligibility:

Through the Centac Exam Students can get admission to various engineering and medical institutes. To apply for this examination candidates are required to fill the application form but before filling the application form candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled. Below we have mentioned the required eligibility criteria for the centac 2024 exam.

Age Criteria: the candidate must be 18 years of age before July 1 2024 whereas reserved category candidates will be given 3 years of relaxation for the same.

Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have at least 45% aggregate marks in class 12th board examination. For reserved category candidates, the minimum percentage required is 40%.

Qualification criteria: The candidates will be selected on the basis of the merit list and the rank in the JEE Mains examination 2024.

Domicile:

• The candidates are the parents of the candidate must be the citizen of Pondicherry from the last five years.
• Those candidates who have studied for the last five years in the state of Pondicherry are eligible to sit in the examination.
• Those candidates whose parents are working for Central Government security forces for at least three years in Pondicherry are eligible to sit in the examination. 
• Children of Defence Personnel and are living in Pondicherry are eligible.

CENTAC Registration Form 2024:

The registration form will be made available on the official website of CENTAC and candidates can apply via online mode and offline mode. Candidates who want to take admission in the LLB course will have to fill a separate application form. After the form has been submitted no application form will be modified by the board. So fill the application form very carefully.

The application process can be completed in three simple steps:

• Online registration.
• Filling up the registration form.
• Uploading images and paying the application fees.

While filling the registration form candidates are advised to provide a valid Email ID and Phone number to get their login credentials.

CENTAC Exam Dates 2024

CENTAC Exam Admit Card 2024:

CENTAC will release the CENTAC Admit Card for some of the courses for which the examination is conducted. It is mandatory for all the candidates to appear in the examination hall with their admit cards. All the candidates who have successfully submitted their application can download their admit cards from the official website. Centac will release the admit card for M.Sc (Nursing), M.Pharma, MPT, M.Sc (Agri) & M.Sc (Horti), and  M.V.Sc courses.

CENTAC Exam 2024 Merit List:

All the candidates who have successfully submitted their application forms can wait for the merit list to be released by the authorities as they may take some time to verify the information submitted by the candidates in their application forms.

The selection will be based on the merit list and as per the marks obtained by the candidates in their last qualifying examination. candidates can check their rank on the merit list which will be made available on the official website of central.

CENTAC Counselling 2024:

After the declaration of the merit list, the candidates selected are required to appear in online counselling rounds. The counselling process will be done in one or more rounds as per the vacancies in seats. generally, counselling rounds consist of round 1, round 2 to and mop-up rounds. After the selection, candidates are required to be present in the counselling hall with the required documents. Candidates must bring original documents as well as a photocopy of the original documents.

After the counseling has been completed the authorities will release a seat allotment list. Candidates who are selected can download their provisional allotment letter from the official website. If any candidate failed to report within the given time then his/her seat will be canceled.
