RTC Institute of Technology (RTCIT), Ranchi was established in the year 2008 and is a pioneer Institution in providing BTech Degree education in different streams. The Institute was established by the GAV SAMITI, a 36-year-old trust that is active in the field of education. The trust has over 40 schools, intermediate colleges, and B.Ed colleges spread all over Jharkhand.

The main objective of the GAV SAMITI is to spread the light of education in the far corners of Jharkhand. RTC Institute of Technology is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education and is governed by a team of well-educated and experienced management who lays emphasis on systematic and quality education.

RTC Institute of Technology, Ranchi is a Private College that provides education in the field of Engineering and Technology. RTCIT offers undergraduate and Diploma courses in the field of Engineering and aims to educate students who come from remote and inaccessible corners of the state.

The Institute has hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostel rooms are clean, well ventilated, and available on a sharing basis. The main features of the hostel are a 24-hour power supply, clean washrooms, backup generators, water supply, furnished rooms. The hostel mess provides hygienic and healthy food for the students. The Hostel warden is extremely friendly and ready to help the resident students whenever necessary. 

Central library:

RTC Institute of Technology library is a storehouse of more than 17000 journals, magazines, books, research papers of National and International importance. The library also has digital resources like e-books and software tools that help the students to learn and expand their knowledge. Canteen:

RTC Institute of Technology has a hygienic canteen that serves tasty and nutritious meals to the students within the working hours of the college. The hostel students are entitled to the mess facilities that include breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, and snacks within the college hours. The mess is under the supervision of the hostel warden and a student representative.
