Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology was established in the year of 1991 and is situated in Kottayam, Kerala. This institute was named after the late Prime Minister Sri Rajiv Gandhi and it is a government institute run by the Government of Kerala. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam was approved by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE). The institute is affiliated with  APJ ABDUL KALAM TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY and it is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). 

The institute aimed to provide high-quality education to students from each section of society. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam provides the best study environment for the students to develop their personalities and motivate them to do their best in their studies. GATE, NATA, KEAM entrance exams are accepted for the admission of students.
