Jiwaji University is one of the esteemed public universities in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The university was established back in 1964 and now it has the status of being the state university of Madhya Pradesh. Over 390 colleges are affiliated with Jiwaji University.

Facilities of JU University

Library

There is a Central Library on the campus which is filled with over 1,40,000 books with 8000 bound volumes of research journals. At present more than 142 journals are present there, in both foreign and Indian.

Not only this the library also supports internet access, a microfilm reader, a 16-mm projector, and a number of films on various subjects. The central library is the biggest educational library present in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

Jiwaji University (JU) University Hostel

There are two boys' hostels and two girls' hostels. The "Mrignayani Girls Hostel" and “Tatya Tope Girls Hostel'' are situated within the campus. The hostels have all the required facilities with well-furnished rooms. Appropriate security arrangements have also been made for these hostels.

One of the boy's hostels named after Captain Roop Singh, a veteran hockey player is also located within the campus to accommodate 150 students. Another boy’s hostel is Arya Bhatta Hostel, which is also well furnished with the Internet and other recreation facilities.

Boys Hostel

There are two boys' hostels located on the campus. One of the boy’s hostels is named after Captain Roop Singh, a veteran hockey player, and one is named after the great mathematician, who introduced zero to the world Arya Bhatta.

Both the hostels are well furnished with Internet and essential facilities. The hostels have the capacity of accommodating 150 students per hostel. The charges for hostels are 7.4K.

Girls Hostel
