Centre For Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) which was earlier known as ER & DCI was formed in the year 1994 in Noida. The college is recognized by AICTE and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. It is authorized by the NBA. The institute has been rewarded with the GeoSmart Infrastructure Excellence Award 2022 for GeoSadak.

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is a prominent R&D organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for moving out R&D in IT, Electronics, and associated areas. Different aspects of C-DAC originated at different times, many of which came out as a result of the identification of opportunities.

C-DAC has today appeared as a comprehensive R&D organization in IT&E (Information Technologies and Electronics) in the country working on developing national technological capabilities in the context of global developments in the area and acknowledging to change in the market need in selected foundation areas.
