Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University is a Private University affiliated with the Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. The Institute has been approved by the UGC, BCI, and COA. Engineering courses:

For the B.Tech courses

• candidates must qualify for the Higher Secondary exams with 50% marks and PCM and Physics, Chemistry,Maths as the compulsory subjects. Candidates must get a valid score in the JEE(mains).

For the M.Tech courses,

• candidates must qualify the BTech exams in the relevant discipline and get a valid score in the GATE exams.

Management courses:

For the BBA program

• candidates must pass the Bachelor’s Degree exam with 55% marks. 

For the MBA courses 

• candidates must pass the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and get a valid score in any of the exams CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/HP MAT/HPU CET.

Commerce:

For the B.Com course

• candidates must pass the Higher Secondary exams with 55% marks and Physics, Chemistry and Maths as the subjects.

For the M.Com course

•  candidates must pass B.Com from a recognized Institute.

Arts:

For BA Course

• candidates must pass the Higher Secondary exams with 55% marks and English as the compulsory subject. 

For the MA course

• candidates must pass the Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Institute.

Law: 

For BA LLB

• candidates must pass the Higher Secondary Board exams with 55% marks.

For the LLM course 

• candidates must qualify the LLB degree from a recognized Institute.

Computer Applications 

For the BCA course 

• candidates must qualify for the Higher Secondary Board exams with Mathematics as the compulsory subject.

For the MCA course

• candidates must qualify a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Institute with Maths as the compulsory subject.

Applied Sciences:

For the B.Sc course

• candidates must qualify the Higher Secondary exams with Physics, Maths, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as the compulsory subjects.

For the MCA course,

The admission process of the Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University (AGU), Shimla:

The admission process to APGSU is both online and offline. The application forms are available for undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. admissions. After the submission of the application forms, shortlisted students have to appear for the entrance exams conducted by the University in different disciplines. Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be notified by the Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University and can appear for the entrance exams.

Online admission to APGSU, Shimla:

• Go to the official website of Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University that is www.agu.edu.in
• Click the “Apply for admission” on the homepage.
• Fill in the mandatory Registration form of APGSU.
• An automated verification link will appear on your registered email ID.
• Click the link and the Application form for admission will appear on a different window.
• Fill in the Application form with the relevant details and upload your scanned photograph and the necessary documents.
• Pay the Application fees of INR 1000 (nonrefundable) through the given mode.
• If shortlisted, you will be informed about the entrance exam within 5 days of registration.
• If selected for the online test, you have to pay a fee of INR 10,000(nonrefundable) to confirm your admission to Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University.

Offline admission to APGSU, Shimla:

• Go to the official website of the University.
• Click the link to the Application Form on the homepage (you can also get the application form from the University administrative office).
• Download the Application form and take a printout of it.
• Fill in the Application form with the relevant details. Attach passport size photograph and necessary documents along with the Application form.
• Send the Application form to the APGSU office along with a demand draft of INR 1000 as the Application fee.
• Shortlisted students will be notified about the offline entrance exam conducted by the University.
• Students who have been selected to APGSU on the basis of merit and entrance exams have to pay the full registration fee of INR 10,000 (non-refundable) to confirm their admission.
• Selected students can visit the University for the counseling process and payment of the full registration fee.

Scholarship programs of Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University:

APGSU offers scholarships to meritorious students and to the students who belong to the financially backward sections of society. The University offers merit cum means scholarships to the students. The scholarships are offered on the basis of merit and the entrance exam score of the candidates.

The scholarship falls under different categories of the qualifying marks obtained by the candidates and their performance in the Class 12 Board exams for CBSE/ICSE/State Boards. Candidates who have secured 90% and above in the Science stream and 80% and above in the Arts/Commerce stream will be eligible for APGSU scholarships.

Along with the qualifying percentage in the 12th Board exams, candidates who secure 80% and more marks in the APGSU Aptitude test/entrance test will be eligible for the scholarships. The scholarships are in the form of tuition fee waiver and the categories are given below:
