PSC stands for Public Service Commission. The PSC is the primary recruitment agency for the state government. PCS manages Defence, medical exams, civil service and engineering, between other things. PCS also selects a majority of state government Group A officers. Examinations are also used to recruit Group B cadre officers. The parent commission of PCS is UPSC. The salary of commission’s  and other expenses are paid from the consolidated fund of state government’s.
