Actuarial Study Program in Alpha Plus Coaching, Delhi

Students need to pass ACET, certification through IAI Institute, India Or Students can opt for IFOA, Institute of Faculty of Actuaries, UK

Students need to pass an exam in the two modes. ACET or the IFOA exams. Alpha Plus Coaching helps in providing study material, and student support until the end.

ACET (Actuarial Common Entrance Test) is the test students need to pass in India to become members of the IAI. It is held twice a year, usually in the months of June & December.

It is a 3-hour long paper with a maximum of 100 marks. The questions paper has 70 MCQ’s and it is an online paper.

The eligibility to apply for this exam is that students must have passed their 12th with Maths and English. 

The syllabus consists of English & Logical reasoning (45%) and Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Interpretation (55%).

To become an Actuary one has to clear 4 stages of examination i.e., a total of 13 papers with three years of work experience.

IIT-JAM (Joint Admission Test) is conducted once a year in the month of February. The exam conducting authority changes on a rotational basis. The application process starts in the month of September and closes in the month of October.

IIT-JAM is the entrance exam for students who want to pursue a career in Pure Sciences and Research.

It opens up around 1000+ seats in the premier IIT Institutions. 

The applicants should at least score 55% aggregate marks and 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST/OBC students to be eligible for the IIT-JAM exam. 

IIT-JAM Exam Paper Pattern

The exam pattern for the IIT-JAM Is 60 MCQs, divided into three parts (Part A, B, C). Each part is for three hours.

IIT-JAM Mathematics syllabus

The topic with the maximum weightage (30%) is Real Analysis. It includes sub-topics such as:

DU M.Sc. Mathematics in Alpha Plus Coaching, Delhi

The Du M.Sc Mathematics examination will be conducted in the month of June. The question paper is MCQ based and is conducted for three hours. For every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 4 marks and there is no negative marking.

The weightage is divided into written assessments (85%) and Personal Interviews (15%). This exam tests the General aptitude and the Quantitative aptitude of the candidate.  

This test is specifically for those who wish to get admission into Delhi University postgraduate Math programs such as MA or MSc. 

Candidates can gain admission through Merit-Based or through the Entrance Exam. The admission is done through seat allotment.   

CSIR-NET/JRF Mathematics

The examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is a national-level exam to select candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship and to also test their eligibility for pursuing teaching roles and lectureship roles in universities and colleges.

The question paper is divided into three parts:

Part A: (logical reasoning, numerical ability, etc in 20 questions)

Part B: (syllabus-related questions in 40 MCQs)

Part C: (designed to test a student's knowledge in 60 questions)

The eligibility criteria for students is a minimum MSc. with an aggregate of 55% marks for General and OBC students.
