Can I Do BCA After the 12th?

Yes, You can do a BCA course after the 12th. Bachelor of Computer Applications is an undergraduate degree that is pursued after completing higher secondary education (12th) from a recognized board. Any candidate who has completed his/her 12th with passing marks in 10+2 can pursue this course. No particular stream is required to pursue this course. However, some universities have set their own eligibility criteria to offer admissions in the BCA program and these criteria must be fulfilled by the candidate in order to get BCA Admissions to the desired college.

BCA Course After 12th Commerce/ Arts:

You can pursue a BCA degree after completing 12th from the Commerce stream. For your kind information, AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) has set no such criteria for the BCA course on the basis of the stream. The candidate doesn’t need to have a Science background to do this course. A commerce-based candidate can also pursue this course. Still, we suggest you check the eligibility criteria required by your chosen/desired college as some colleges may ask for Mathematics/Computer Science /Computer Application as a mandatory subject in 10+2. Can I do BCA with 50% Marks in 12th:

Yes, You can do a BCA course if you have obtained 50% marks in 10+2 (any stream) examinations from a recognized board. There are many colleges that have a minimum requirement of 45% to 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 examinations. We still advise you to check the eligibility criteria for the BCA course on the official website of your chosen college because the BCA eligibility criteria might slightly vary from one college to another. For instance, Some colleges grant BCA Admissions to the students who have opted for English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2.

No, You cannot Pursue a BCA degree after completing 11th. You must have to complete your higher secondary education in order to become eligible for this course. As per AICTE, a candidate must pass his 10+2 board examination with the minimum required marks in order to become eligible to apply for this course. 2. Entrance based Admission to BCA Course:
