SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Admit Card

The Staff Selection Commission has announced the Stenographer C and D examinations for 2025 and the issuance of admit cards for the Skill Test. The SSC Stenographer Grades C and D Admit Card has been released, and the students can download the admit card by visiting the official site. Students who have passed the CBT examination should now undergo a skill test.

Following are the important dates for the examination and Skill Test 2024:

How do I download the Skill Test Exam Admit Card?

  • The candidates should visit the official site of the Staff Selection Commission, https://ssc.nic.in/.
  • Then, at the top of the homepage, you can find the option ‘SSC Stenographer Grades C and D Admit Card’.
  • Then click the option, and you can find a list of regional websites.
  • Choose the northern region of New Delhi, then click on the hyperlink for ‘Northern region’.
  • Then you are directed to a new webpage.
  • Click the option ‘SSC Stenographer Grades C and D Admit Card’ and further ‘Download SSC Stenographer Grades C and D Admit Card'.
  • You can find several links to different examinations.
  • Choose the option ‘SSC Stenographer Grades C and D Admit Card’
  • Read the instructions carefully on the SSC Stenographer Grades C and D Admit Card and tick the option ‘I agree’.
  • The instructions are about the documents that you should carry during the examination.
  • The documents include a photo identity, an additional original certificate as proof of date of birth, etc. Candidates who do not carry the following documents at the examination center are not allowed to sit for the examination.
  • When you choose ‘Submit’, you can find a new web page for Application Status.
  • You should enter details of your registration ID, your father’s name, and your date of birth. Then you can click on search status.
  • You may choose the option ‘IF you know your roll number'. Accordingly, you can enter your roll number, father’s name, and date of birth.
  • If you do not remember your roll number, then you can choose the option ‘If you do not know the roll number’.
  • You should enter your complete name, father’s name, and date of birth and click ‘Search status’.
  • After you click ‘Search Status’, you can find the details of the SSC Stenographer Grades C and D Admit Card
  • The SSC Stenographer Grades C and D Admit Card contains important information such as the candidate's name, the name of the candidate's father, the timings, the location of the examination, and so on. About the Skill Test

It is conducted to test the typing and shorthand skills of students who have applied for the post of stenographer in various offices. It is the final stage of evaluation and is conducted for the students who have passed the written test. The test is divided into two parts:

  • The first stage of the examination is dictation, and the candidate should type a passage within the time specified.
  • The next stage is transcription, and the candidate should type the dictated passage on a computer.
  • The exam is conducted in both the English and Hindi languages. The candidates who pass this test are recruited for the post of stenographer.

Pattern of the Skill Test

  • A dictation test is held for 10 minutes in both languages, Hindi and English.
  • The expected speed is 100 words per minute for Grade C stenographers, and the expected speed for Grade D stenographers is 80 words per minute.
  • The Grade C dictation should be completed in 50 minutes in English and 65 minutes in Hindi.
  • The Grade D dictation should be completed in 40 minutes in English and 55 minutes in Hindi.
  • The acceptable error percentage for the general category is 5% to 7%. The expected error percentage for OBC is 6% to 8%—10% for candidates from the SC or ST categories.

Document verification stage

The candidates who pass the skill test should undergo a document verification stage and should produce documents such as 10th, and 12th-grade mark sheets and certificates, bachelor’s degree certificates, medical certificates, disability certificates, if applicable, or any other relevant documents.
