Railway Recruitment Board Junior Engineer (RRB JE) 2024 1st stage Computer Based Test (CBT) has been declared 2024. Through RRB JE 2024 is a golden opportunity for candidates to secure the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). RRB JE 2024 1st Stage CBT is the only chance for those candidates who have an engineering degree or diploma from a recognized university in India.

It is advised to all candidates that they must bring their e-Call letter along with a valid Photo ID  (viz. Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, printout of e-Aadhaar (not Xerox copy of Aadhaar), Driving License, PAN card, Passport, Identity Card issued by the employer in case the candidate is a Govt. employee,  University / College/School Photo ID card) in original to the examination hall. Without an e-call letter and ID proof, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the CBT/DV.

RRB JE 2024 1st Stage CBT:

Candidates should verify their name, date of birth, and photo ID. It must be matched with the details furnished in the online application. Due to any discrepancy, candidates may not be permitted to appear in CBT. prior to the day of the examination, candidates should read the important instructions written on the e-Call letter and follow them painstaking. Applicants must also carry one color photograph (of size 35mm x 45mm) which was uploaded in the application, for appearing in the CBT/DV (as applicable).

Aspirants have to leave blank spaces available in the downloaded e-call letter for writing a self-declaration paragraph (as the paragraph is shown on the screen during CBT), signature, and Left Thumb Impression (LTI) unfilled while coming for the exam. If RRB found any mistake in your application then RRB has the right to cancellation of your application.

Syllabus of RRB JE 2024 Ist Stage CBT:

  1. Mathematics: Number systems, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM and HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern.
  2. General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jum-bling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions, etc.
  3. General Awareness: Knowledge of Current affairs, Indian geography, culture, and history of India including freedom struggle, Indian Polity, and constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental issues concerning India and the World, Sports, General scientific and technological developments, etc.
  4. General Science: Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences (up to 10th Standard CBSE syllabus).

CBT Examination Exam Pattern and Syllabus for IInd Stage CBT:

Candidates who will be shortlisted in the Ist stage then they will call for IInd Stage CBT Exam.

Duration: 120 minutes (160 Minutes for eligible PwBD applicants accompanied by Scribe)

No of Questions: 150

  1. General Awareness: Knowledge of Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history of India including freedom struggle, Indian Polity, and constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental issues concerning India and the World, Sports, General scientific and technological developments, etc
  2. Physics and Chemistry: Up to 10th standard CBSE syllabus.
  3. Basics of Computers and Aplications: The architecture of Computers; input and Output devices; Storage devices, Networking, Operating systems like Windows, Unix, Linux; MS Office; Various data representations; Internet and Email; Websites & Web Browsers; Computer viruses.
  4. Basics of Environment and Pollution Control: Basics of Environment; Adverse effect of environmental pollution and control strategies; Air, water, and Noise pollution, their effect and control; Waste Management, Global warming; Acid rain; Ozone depletion.
  5. Technical Abilities: Questions will arise from your selected area of job.
