The Patiala Locomotive Works has recently issued a notification about the recruitment of a railway PLW apprentice for trade apprentices in various trades. The candidate should pass 10th grade from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. He or she should also possess ITI certification in related trade with at least a passing mark from an institution that is NCVT-approved. The candidate should possess a minimum of 50% marks in 12th grade for the electrician, mechanical, machinist, and fitter posts.

Technical
The candidate should possess I.T.I. in the electrician trade.
Mechanical Post
Education
The candidate should pass in 10th grade and possess a minimum of 50% marks in 12th grade.
Technical
The candidate should also complete I.T.I. in mechanical (diesel).
Machinist
The candidate should pass 10th grade with a minimum of 50% marks in mathematics and science in 12th grade.
Education
The candidate should complete I.T.I. in the machinist trade.
Fitter
Education
The candidate should pass 10th grade, and the candidate should pass a minimum of 50% marks in math and science in 12th grade.
Technical
The candidate should complete I.T.I. in fitter trade.
Welder
The candidate should have an 8th pass and possess an I.T.I. in the welder trade.
Age limit for the post
The minimum age as of October 31, 2025, is 15 years, and the maximum age is 24 years. Age relaxation is provided to the candidates who belong to the special category as per the rules. Candidates applying for the welder position should be between the ages of 15 and 22.
The candidate should be an Indian citizen and should fill out the form in online mode only.

Application fees
The application fees for candidates belonging to the general category, OBC, and EWS are Rs. 100. Candidates belonging to PH, SC/ST, or females are exempt from fees.
The fees should be paid online along with the application through modes such as net banking, debit card, or credit card.
