Eligibility Criteria

• The most recent information about Govt Apprentice eligibility requirements, including education, age restriction, experience, and income, may be found here. 
• The minimum educational criteria for blw.indianrailways.gov.in recruitment in 2025 are listed below; however, those with higher education can also apply for the Apprentice post, however, there is an age requirement.
• Non-ITI Age Limit: The minimum age requirement is 15 years, with a maximum age requirement of 22 years.
• ITI Age Limit: The minimum age for the post of welder, and carpenter trader is 15 years, with a maximum age requirement of 24 years (till 26/10/2025).
• Age relaxation will be available to reserved category applicants according to government rules, which are as follows:
• 5 years for SC/STs
• 3 years OBC
• PH: ten years

Educational Qualifications 

• For ITI and non-ITI roles, candidates must have a 10th-grade diploma with a minimum of 50%. A minimum of 50% in the tenth-grade examination or its equivalent is necessary for non-ITI candidates. The candidate must have completed all prerequisites before the notification date.
• Candidates must have passed the appropriate trades' ITI exam as well as their 10th-grade exam, or its equivalent, with at least 50% of the possible points from a recognized board to be qualified for ITI.

Railway BLW Internship Selection & Stipend

• The National Council of Vocational Training Rules will govern the BLW Apprentice term. Selected candidates must sign a bond and rigorously adhere to the rules and restrictions of the Apprentice program.
• The selection process for BLW Apprentice 2025 at Banaras Locomotive Works comprises a competitive written exam. Some additional jobs on blw.indianrailways.gov.in require an interview or physical examination. Stipends will be paid by Indian Railway Board guidelines, which will be determined by the board itself.
