JPSC Selection Process

Candidates will go through three levels of selection:

• Preliminary examination: 400 marks
• Main Exam: 950 marks.
• Physical Test (Only for Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Commandant, Prison Superintendent, and Probation Officers)
• Interview score: 100 points.

Educational Qualifications:

• Applicants for the JPSC Civil Services Exam must have graduated in any field from a recognized university/institute.

Age limit

• Eligibility for the Jharkhand Civil Services Exam requires a minimum age of 21 years. 

Age relaxation

• The highest age restriction should be as follows:
• Unreserved: 35 Years
• EBC: 37 years.
• Female (Unreserved/ Extremely Backward Classes): 38 years
• Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes (Male and Female): 40 years.
• PwBD: 10 years plus category-wise relaxation.
• Ex-servicemen: 5 years plus category-based relaxation.
