The notification for Cost Guard Yantrik/Navik GD and Domestic Branch CGEPT 01/2024 Recruitment 2024 was released on August 28, 2024, by the Indian Coast Guard. They are recruiting 350 candidates for the posts of NAvik and Yantrik (Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics) for the 01/2024 batch of 10th and 12th std. Information About the Application Fee

Candidates belonging to general categories, EWS, and OBC categories should pay Rs. 300 as an application fee. Candidates belonging to SC and ST are exempt from fees. The payment should be made online through a credit card, debit card, e-challan, net banking, etc.

Eligibility Criteria for the Posts of Navik and Yantrik

Navik (GD)

  • The candidate should pass 10 + 2 from an educational board recognised by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE). The student should be 18 to 22 years old.

Navik (DB)

  • The student should have a 10th grade pass from a recognised education board recognised by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE). The candidate should be minimum 18 years old and maximum 22 years old.

Yantrik

  • The student should have passed 10th grade and possess a diploma in electrical, mechanical, electronic, and communication (radio or power) engineering. Etc., if a candidate wishes to apply for the mechanical branch, he should complete a diploma in mechanical engineering, a diploma in electrical engineering if he is applying for the electric branch, etc. A candidate applying for electronic engineering should complete a diploma in electronic and communication engineering.

Age limit for all Types of Candidates

The students in the general and EWS categories should be 18 minimum and 22 maximum. The candidates should be born between May 1 and April 30, 2002. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, or OBC are provided with relaxation according to government rule.

Fitness Test for Cost Guard Navik/Yantrik

  • The candidate should be a male.
  • He should be a citizen of India only.

How to apply online for the post of Indian Coast Guard Navik?

The candidates should visit the official website at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from September 8th, 2024, to September 22nd, 2024, up to 5.30 p.m. only. The candidates should fill out the required details, such as full name, address, age, qualification, name of institution, and other details.

They should also upload documents online under the user profile as evidence. The documents required for verification are a passport-size photograph, a marksheet of X, an Aadhar card, a PAN card, etc. The handwritten declaration should be produced by the candidate.

The candidates should also upload photographs online. If the candidate is serving ICG or CG personal, then an NOC of the candidate is required. The candidates should then click ‘submit’ to submit their application and then pay the application fees online.

Procedure for Selection

The candidates are to be selected on the basis of the following:

  1. Written test, Stage I
  2. Physical fitness test, document verification, and initial medical screening (Stage II)
  3. Submission of Documents, Final Medical at INS Chilka, and Submission of Original Documents, Police Verification, and Other Associating Forms in Stage III
  4. Finalization of candidates – Stage IV.

The selection is based on an all-India order of merit on the basis of the performance in Stages I, II, III, and IV meeting according to the laid-down medical standards for the examination.
