OR The candidate must have completed a three-year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) at a Government-recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% aggregate and 50% English in the diploma course. OR The candidate must have passed two years of Vocational Courses with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Maths from State Education Boards/Councils are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the Vocational Course).
Other than science subjects,	The candidate must have completed two years of Vocational Courses with non-vocational subjects such as Physics and Maths from State Education Boards/Councils listed in COBSE, with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course.
