Assam Police Constable Selection Process

The S.L.P.R.B. will review the submissions and invite qualified applicants to the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (P.E.T.). There will be no marks for the PST. Candidates who qualify for the PST will have to take the P.E.T.

The PST and P.E.T. results will be shown locally at the end of each day of testing. A merit list will be generated based on the candidate's scores. Qualified applicants will advance to the next step, the written test. The last step will be oral/viva voce. The Assam Police Constable Selection procedure includes the following stages:

Assam Police Constable Exam Pattern

• Candidates who pass the PST will need to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 points.
• The test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions at 1/2 mark each, for a total of 50 points.
• The answers must be filled out on an OMR-based response sheet.
• The Written Exam questions will be in Assamese, Bodo, Bengali, and English.
• There will be no negative grading for wrong responses.
• The number of candidates summoned for the Oral/Viva-Voce will be determined by the overall score in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Written Test. The maximum mark for Oral/Viva-Voce is 5.
