RMO 2024: Regional Mathematical Olympiad 2nd stage provisional scores out

Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is a National Centre under the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). The main goals of the institute are to promote equity and brilliance in science and mathematics education from primary school to undergraduate college level and encourage the extension of scientific literacy in the country.

HBSCE has released the notification regarding the application form for RMO 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online via the official website of HPSCE - https://www.hbcse.tifr.res.in/

Eligibility criteria 

Eligibility criteria are as follows : 

Educational qualifications

Candidate must be a student of class 9th, 10th,11th and 12th 

Age limit 

Candidate must be born on or after August 2003

Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of India. 

Apart from this, a few more eligibility requirements are as follows : 

  • After PRMO, top 300 students from class 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th will be selected for the RMO exam
  • The top 60 students from class 12th will be shortlisted from each region to part in RMO 2024
  • JNV and KV schools are considered as a separate region, the top 5% of performers from classes 8th, 9th, and 10th and the top 1% of performers from class 12th will be selected for the RMO exam.

Admit Card 

According to the official notification, the RMO 2024 will be available for download via HPPSC’s official website. Candidates who will complete their RMO 2024 Online Application Process can download the admit card once announced on the website.

In other words, your admit card will be available on the website only if you have successfully and accurately filled out and submitted the online application form. RMO 2024 admit card will be released by the exam conducting authority.

Carrying a valid RMO 2024 admit card is important for all the applying candidates to appear in the exam. No candidate will be permitted to sit in the exam without the Admit Card. Candidates must also carry a school ID card along with the exam admit The exam conducting authority will declare the Admit card before the date of examination.

Steps to download the admit card : 

  • Visit the official website of the exam conducting authority ie. https://www.hbcse.tifr.res.in/ 
  • Next, explore the website's homepage. There, you will find a menu with the most latest notifications displayed.
  • Find the notification that is showcasing "Download RMO Admit Card 2024"
  • Then, you will be asked to log in using the submitted information. After completing the asked credentials, click on the submit button.
  • Now, your RMO 2024 Admit card will appear on the screen, you have to download the admit card.
  • After downloading your admit card, keep one or two copies of the admit card.

Results 

The final result will be released by the exam conducting body after the examinations. Candidates will be able to check their results from the official website - https://www.hbcse.tifr.res.in/. Candidates who have secured the best marks will get the top rank. 

Points to keep in mind 

  • The result of the RMO 2024 will be announced online mode by the exam conducting body
  • The result will be in the form of marks scored by the candidate in the examination and their positions according to their performances.
  • The RMO 2024 merit list will be outlined according to the aspirant’s performance in the examination.
  • JNV and KV students have to contact their schools for the results because their results will not be available online.
