Eligibility Criteria

Requirement

Nationality / Citizenship

1. a citizen of India, a Nepalese subject, or.

2. a subject of Bhutan or

3. a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, or Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in the Government of India has given a certificate of eligibility in their favor.

Age Limit (as of 01/06/2025)

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose), candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 28 years old, i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1995 and later than 01.06.2005 (both dates inclusive). 

For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager), candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years old, i.e. they must have been born between the dates of 03.06.1993 and 30.06.2005 (both dates inclusive). For Officer Scale-II (Manager): Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years - Below 40 years i.e. candidates must have been born between 03.06.1983 and 31.05.2005 (both dates inclusive). 

Language Proficiency

Candidates applying for the position of Office Assistant in any RRB must be fluent in the local language of the State/UT in which the RRB is located to be eligible for an interview.
