BPSC Assistant Engineer Exam Result 2024 - Important Dates, Cut-off, Application Process

The Bihar Public Service Commission has annouced the results of the Bihar Assistant Engineer Examination for Mechanical and Civil on its official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in. The BPSC has also announced the amended Assistant Engineer Civil results for advertisement number 03/2020.

A total of 3,116 candidates took the Assistant Engineer Mechanical (advertisement 08/202). The exam was held for 61 positions. On November 7, a merit list was established based on the written exam, and document verification took place on November 22, 2023. The BPSC has shortlisted 57 individuals.

The BPSC administered the Assistant Engineer Civil written test (advertisement number 07/2020). The exam was taken by 6,244 people. The commission has created a merit list of 190 candidates for 192 seats. Candidates were invited for document verification on November 29 and 30, and 175 qualified for the recruitment process.

The commission has also announced the results of advertising number 03/2020 for Assistant Engineer Civil. The result of a candidate with roll number 304322 was not published due to his absence from the DV process, but upon verification, the commission determined that his DV was completed. The commission has now declared him qualified for the examination.

BPSC AE Cut Off for 2024

All applications will be accepted online exclusively. The steps to apply for the aforementioned recruiting (2020 cycle) are provided below. The application process for the 2024 cycle is likely to be identical to the 2020 cycle.

Application Fees

Candidates were required to submit the application fees before May 25th, 2020. The application fee was nonrefundable. For details on the previous cycle's application fees, see the table below. The future cycle's pricing structure is projected to be similar.

Selection Procedure

The selection process for the BPSC AE Electronics post is expected to be based on the qualifying marks from their 10th, 12th, graduation, and postgraduate mark sheets. The total marks for the selection process are likely to be 85, with a weightage of 10 marks for 10th and 12th class grades, and 55 and 10 marks for graduation and post-graduate marks on the final year mark sheet, respectively. The detailed distribution of marks is given below.

  • Weightage: 10 for the first division, and 3 for the third division.
  • Second Division: 06 Marks
  • First Division: 10 marks.

The 12th weightage mark is 10 and the third division is worth 3 marks.

  • Second Division: 06 Marks
  • First Division: 10 marks.
  • Degree weightage: 55 marks, below 60% - 35 marks.
  • 60-75% - 45 marks
  • More than 75% - 55 Higher Degree Weightage Marks (Candidates with M.E/M.Tech Degrees) - 10 marks
