BPSC Assistant Audit Officer Result

The BPSC Assistant Audit Officer's main written competitive examination was held at Patna test centers from November 5 to November 7, 2026. The commission has invited qualifying candidates to the next step of the selection process for an interview round.

Among the qualified candidates, 137 were from the unreserved category, 37 were from the economically weaker sector, 55 were from the Scheduled Caste (SC), 5 were from the Scheduled Tribe (ST), 69 were from the extremely backward class, 50 were from the backward class, and 10 from the backward class women.

5 visually handicapped (VI), 3 deaf-mute disabled (DD), 3 locomotor handicapped (OH), and 1 mentally handicapped/multiple handicapped (MD) were also ruled successful under the provision of horizontal reservation based on disability. 

A total of eight candidates from the category of grandchild of former Bihar freedom fighters have been declared successful, with seven being declared successful based on merit and one being declared successful based on horizontal reservation.

Process of Selection for the BPSC 69th Exam 2026

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will conduct the selection process in three stages, which we have detailed below as per the BPSC 69th Notification 2026:

• Preliminary Written Exam (Qualifying): Candidates must first take the Preliminary Written Exam. This exam, which consists of multiple-choice questions, serves as a screening test. It is a qualifying statement. This article includes the syllabus for the prelims test.
• Mains: Candidates who pass the preliminary examination will be qualified to take the Mains Written Exam. The main exam is more in-depth and covers a broader range of subjects. The syllabus will also be provided in the official notification. It consists of descriptive-type questions.

BPSC Exam Pattern

Each level of the BPSC 69th CCE exam 2026 format is mentioned below.

• The BPSC 69th Prelims exam would be of General Studies with a total of 150 marks and a length of 2 hours.
• The BPSC 69th Prelims exam is just for qualifying purposes.
• The BPSC 69th Mains Exam has four subjects: general Hindi, general studies papers 1 and 2, and an optional paper.
• Each paper in the BPSC 69th Mains Exam lasts three hours.
• Each wrong answer will result in a 13-point deduction.
• The final merit list will be prepared exclusively based on the Mains and Interview scores.
