WBJEE Exam 2026

Today, December 28, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) launched the WBJEE application process. Interested candidates can apply for WBJEE 2026 at wbjeeb.nic.in, the official website.

Candidates should keep in mind that the deadline for submitting the WBJEE Application form 2026 is January 31, 2026. The WBJEE 2026 application correction facility will be open from February 3 to 5, 2026. According to the timetable, the WBJEE 2026 will be held on April 28.

The exam will be administered offline using an OMR-based system. Paper-I (Mathematics) of the WBJEE will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry) will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2026

Candidates who have completed their 12th grade from a recognized board with at least 45% marks are eligible to apply for the WBJEE 2026. The entire WBJEE 2026 eligibility criteria for engineering, architecture, and pharmacy courses  are mentioned below:

The domicile criteria are required for- Any seat in any Government-aided Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy Colleges. 90% for general category seats in Jadavpur University. Any seat in Aliah University. Any seat including general category seats in B.Tech (Dairy Technology) in West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences Any reserved category seat (SC, ST, OBC- A, OBC- B, PwD, TFW) in any course in any institute.

WBJEE Exam 2026 Application Fee

The application cost for the WBJEE is non-refundable. Netbanking/Debit Card/Credit Card and other alternative payment methods can be used to pay the cost.

Pattern of the WBJEE 2026 Exam

• WBJEEB has only conducted WBJEE offline as an OMR-based test.
• Candidates must select the correct answer by completely darkening the corresponding circle on the WBJEE response sheet with a blue/black ballpoint pen.
• WBJEE 2026 comprises two papers, each with its own time slot on the same day. Each paper lasts two hours.
• WBJEE questions are divided into three categories.
• Category 1- 1 mark questions with a 14 penalty for each incorrect answer.
• Category 2- 2 questions are marked with a negative 12 for each incorrect answer.
• There will be no negative marking on questions in category 3 and 2.

Preparation for the WBJEE 2026 Exam

The previous round of the WBJEE Exam attracted approximately 65,170 candidates. As a result, WBJEE is a very competitive exam. WBJEE also provides category reservations for OBCs, SC, ST, PwD, and EWS, making the competition extra tougher. As a result, candidates must begin their WBJEE 2026 preparation as soon as possible.
