UPSC IAS Application Form 2024: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be released the application forms for Civil Services Examination (CSE) in February 2024. The interested candidates who are willing to become IAS/IFS/IPS can now apply for the registration procedure online by accessing the official website of UPSC, i.e upsc.gov.in. The registration process has been started on Tuesday and will end up on March 18th, 2024.

UPSC IFS Notification 2024 And UPSC IAS Application Form 2024:

According to the official notification, UPSC CSE preliminary level examination will be conducted on 07 June 2024 and the mains exam will be held on September 2024, for five days whereas the main examination for UPSC Indian Forest Service (IFS) will be organized on  December 2024 for 10 days. Candidates who have qualified graduation level exam or hold any bachelor’s degree from any recognized university are eligible to apply for the exam. To become IAS/IPS/IFS, it is obligatory for the candidates to qualify for all three levels of UPSC, i.e. Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

Steps to Apply for UPSC Online Form 2024:

Here are some steps that a candidate is required to follow before applying for the UPSC IAS/IFS application forms:

Step 1: At first, aspirants need to access the official website of UPSC, i.e. upsconline.nic.in to download the application forms.

Step 2: The homepage of the website will appear on your screen with an activated link for application forms 2024.

Step 3: Click on the link to open up the application form and then provide necessary details such as your name, Gender, Category, Nationality and other vital details to fill-up the form.

Step 4: Now, click on submit, and then you will be directed to the payment page.

Step 5: Here, choose the payment method mode (either online or offline) and make payment of application form fees.

Step 6: After payment, download the payment receipt of the application form.

Step 7: At last, your application form will be shown on your screen, so hit on the download tab to get your application form.

Step 8: Now, take out the printed version of your UPSC IAS/IFS/IPS 2024 application form.

Note: The application form fee for General and OBC categories is rupees 200 whereas, for SC/ST and females of all categories, the fee is exempted.

Documents Required for UPSC IAS/IFS Application Forms:

  • Class X Mark sheet
  • Class XII Mark sheet
  • Graduation Mark sheet
  • A medical certificate, if required
  • Category certificate, if required
  • Scanned Photograph
  • Scanned Signature

Qualification for UPSC IAS/IFS Application Forms:

The following are the various academic qualifications as stated in the IAS Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have a degree from a government-recognized university or an equivalent qualification. Candidates in their last year of study or awaiting results are also eligible to take the UPSC preliminary examination. All such applicants who intend to task candidates must have a degree from a government-recognized university or an equivalent qualification. All such applicants who intend to take the IAS examinations must submit documentation of passing the stated exam along with their application for the main IAS exam.
  • Professional and technical qualifications recognized by the government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees are eligible to apply.
  • Medical students who have completed their MBBS but have to complete their internship are also eligible for IAS. A certificate of course completion (including internship) from the competent authorities of the University/Institution must be presented with the Main Examination application. Students must submit documentation of passing the stated exam along with their application for the main IAS exam.
  • Professional and technical qualifications recognized by the government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees are eligible to apply.
  • Medical students who have completed their MBBS but have to complete their internship are also eligible for IAS. A certificate of course completion (including internship) from the competent authorities of the University/Institution must be presented with the Main Examination application.
