UP Post-matric scholarships, sometimes referred to as Dashmottar scholarships, are awarded by the Uttar Pradesh government's Social Welfare Department to students living in the state who are enrolled in class 11 or above. supported by the state legislature. The purpose of the UP post-matric scholarship programme is to support financially underprivileged students who want to continue their education.

Due to the large quantity and diversity of students in Uttar Pradesh, the UP Government has allocated the scholarships based on the requirements, academic backgrounds, and student categories. The SC, ST, OBC, Minority, and General categories of students receive the post-matriculation UP scholarships.

UP Post Matric Scholarships: Qualifications

To be eligible to apply for the Post-matric UP scholarships, candidates must meet specific prerequisites. One such prerequisite for qualifying is that candidates must be citizens of the state of Uttar Pradesh or hold a permanent residency permit there.

  • The candidate must belong to the SC, ST or General category of Uttar Pradesh to avail of the scholarship benefit.

  • The annual family income must not be more than ?2 lakh.

Post matric Other State Scholarship for ST, SC, General Category, Uttar Pradesh

  • The applicants must be studying in class 11 or above.

  • The candidates must belong to the SC, ST or General category of Uttar Pradesh.

  • The annual family income must not be more than ?2 lakh.

Post matric (Other Than Intermediate) Scholarship for Minorities, Uttar Pradesh

  • The scholarship is for those students who are pursuing education at graduation, postgraduation, PhD or higher level.

The application process for the 2025 UP Post Matric Scholarships
