LBS Kerala SET 2024: Admit card, Highlights, Exam Dates and Schedule

The LBS Centre for Science & Technology has released the Kerala SET Admit Card 2024 on January 8, 2024. The forthcoming Kerala State Eligibility Test 2024 is planned for January 21, 2024. Candidates preparing for the exam can quickly access and download their Kerala SET Admit Card 2024 by entering their login information on the official website mentioned here https://lbscentre.kerala.gov.in/.

Kerala SET 2024 will have two papers: paper 1 and paper 2. Paper I is common to all candidates. It is divided into two parts: General Knowledge (Part A) and Teaching Aptitude (Part B). Paper II will be based on the candidate's Post Graduate (PG) specialty.

Steps to Download the Admit Card

Candidates can refer to the steps below to download the Admit card.

  • Visit the Official Website. Launch a web browser and navigate to the official website of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology: https://lbscentre.kerala.gov.in/
  •  Locate the Download Hall Ticket section. Search for the "Download Hall Ticket" link on the homepage or under the "SET Examination" section.
  • Enter your credentials. Your Registration ID/Registered Mobile Number and Site Access Key (Check your registered mobile for the SMS containing the Site Access Key).
  • Download and print. After you have entered your credentials, click the "Download" option. The admit card will open in PDF format. Download the PDF and store it on your device.

Important Details to check on the Admit card

Candidates who plan to take the Kerala State Eligibility Test - January 2024 should download their Kerala SET Admit Card well in advance of the exam, as there may be technical difficulties downloading the admit card the day before. Exam Pattern

  • The Kerala SET exam would consist of two papers. Paper one and paper two.
  • Paper 1 is the same for all applicants and includes subjects from General Knowledge (Part A) and Aptitude in Teaching (Part B).
  • Paper I will consist of 120 questions, each costing one point.
  • Paper 2 will be a subject-based test for postgraduate students. It will include 120 questions, each worth one mark, except the 80 questions in Mathematics and Statistics, which will be worth 1.5 points each.
  • Each paper will take two hours to complete.
  • There will be no penalty marks for wrong answers.

Exam Qualifying Marks

Kerala State Eligibility Test Qualifying Marks for Papers 1 and 2 will be accessible on a category basis. To qualify for the Kerala SET 2024. For candidates aiming for the General Category, achieving a minimum of 45% of the total marks, or around 90, is the key to progressing to the next step. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and PwD/VH/PH/SC/ST candidates have a slightly easier path, requiring 40%, or approximately 80 marks. 

The basic requirements to complete/pass the Karnataka SET are listed below:

  • General Category: 45% of total marks (about 90)
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 40% of total marks (about 80)
  • PwD/VH/PH/SC/ST: 40% of overall marks (about 80 points).
