Exam Pattern

The candidates should answer 200 questions in MCQ format. The students are awarded 1 mark for every correct answer and. 25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The prescribed time to complete the test is 2 hours or 120 minutes.

So, the students should answer 200 questions overall.

The candidates belonging to the general or EWS category should score a minimum of 40%. Those belonging to the OBC category of Delhi should score 35%, and the students belonging to the SC/ST, PH, or PwD categories should score a minimum of 30%.

Steps to apply for various positions at DSSSB

  • The candidates should apply online by visiting the site at https://dsssb.delhi.gov.in.
  • Then you can find the homepage of the site and click on the link ‘Notification for Junior Assistant Posts Advt. No. 05/2025.
  • Then click on the option ‘Click for New Registration’ and then enter details such as a valid email address and mobile number.
  • So, the candidates are notified with a registration ID and password to their respective mobile numbers.
  • Next time, the candidates should log in, entering the registration ID and password, to complete the application form.
  • Then, the students should upload documents such as a passport-size photograph and signature in a prescribed format.
  • The candidates should then enter ‘Preview’ and use the ‘Submit’ option.
  • Then, they should proceed to make payment.
  • Then, they can take a printout of the copy for future use.

Eligibility criteria for the post:

Educational Qualification

The candidates should be at least 10 + 2 or have passed an equivalent examination. They should be proficient in stenography or computer typing. For the post of Grade IV Junior Assistant, the candidate should possess a minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute for Hindi typing. The candidates applying for the post of stenographer should possess a speed of 80 words and 35 words per minute in typewriting.

For the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), the candidate should possess a minimum speed of 35 words in English.The speed of the junior stenographer should be 80 words per minute and 40 words per minute in typing.

For the post of Junior Assistant (Pollution Control Committee), the computer-typing speed should be 35 words per minute or 30 words per minute in Hindi. For the post of stenographer, the candidate should possess a speed of 80 words per minute and 40 words per minute in typing. Otherwise, they should possess a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and a typewriting speed of 35 words per minute.

Age limit

The lower age limit is 18 years, and the upper age limit of the candidate is 27 years. Age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to special categories, such as 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD + UR/EWS, 15 years for Pwd + SC/ST, and 13 years for PwD + OBC.

Selection Procedure for the post

For the non-teaching positions, the candidates should undergo four types of examinations, as mentioned below:

  4. Medical Examination
