The Assam Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) has begun the application process for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) school teacher vacancies. Educational Qualifications

Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary School)	Candidates should have a degree from a university recognized by the UGC, TET qualification in the science and mathematics stream, a two-year diploma in elementary education, a B. Ed., a D. Ed. (special education), or a B. Ed. (special education), and the need of having a qualified Assam TET / CTET.
Science Teacher (Upper Primary School)	Applicants must be TET qualified in the Science and Mathematics stream and hold a B. Sc. degree from a university recognized by the UGC. as well as a two-year diploma in elementary education, a B. Ed., a D. Ed. (special education), or a B. Ed. (special education), and they need to have passed the Assam TET or CTET.
Instructor of Hindi in Upper Primary School	Candidates must be TET qualified in Hindi and hold a B.A. from a university with UGC recognition. and a two-year Elementary Education Diploma (B. Ed.).
Lower Primary Teacher	Candidates should have a Senior Secondary degree or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)and must have qualified Assam TET /CTET.

Salary for Assam Teacher Recruitment 2024

The shortlisted applicants who will be hired as Upper Primary and Lower Primary Teachers will be paid in the Pay Band-2 (PB-2) range of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000. In addition, candidates will get Grade Pay.
