Online BHU Scholarship Application Form:

BHU offers several scholarships to needy students. Candidates have to fill the BHU Scholarship 2024 Registration form in order to avail of the scholarship. Given below are the BHU scholarships that the University offers to meritorious candidates. Have a look.

  • Blind students will be given free dinner and lunch under the Annadaan Yojna. Apart from this, 20 blind students receive Rs. 5,000 per annum each.
  • Students who got the first and second ranks are offered an award of INR 4,000 and INR 3,000 respectively.
  • 100 students having economically weak backgrounds are offered a scholarship of INR 2,000 per annum.
  • Pyare Lal - Prem Vati Memorial Scholarship of INR 10,000 is offered to the students who are pursuing the MBA program and who tops the first-year exams.
  • Dr. S.N. Ranade Scholarship is given to the academically best students pursuing the MBA Agri-Business program.

List of Scholarships offered by BHU:

➥ The blind students will get Free Lunch and Dinner under the "Annadaan Yojna" of Shri Vishwanath Temple along with an amount of INR 5000 per annum per head as financial assistance to a maximum of 20 blind students. A maximum of 100 students will get an amount of INR 2000 per annum. This scholarship is given to students who are having a financial crisis and belong to poor family background.

➥ A maximum of 25 students will get a one-time scholarship of INR 4000 (per student) who are Physically Handicapped for their entire course tenure. A maximum of INR 5000 will be provided as Financial Assistance to the students for organizing Seminars/Workshops at the Faculty/Institute level. These Seminars/Workshops should be beneficial to the students and offered to a maximum of 10 Seminars/Symposia/Workshops per annum. Other Scholarships Offered by BHU:

  1. Only 50 poor bonafide students of the BHU University will be offered lunch and Dinner under the "Free Meal Facility" @Rs10/- per diet at "Annapoorna Bhojnalaya", BHU for as a minimum of 07 months (i.e. w.e.f. 2nd October till the end of the examination). For the female hostellers, they will be provided with the actual Mess charges for the above-given period.
  2. All the blind students will be offered Free Lunch and Dinner under the "Annadaan Yojna" of Shri Vishwanath Temple along with an amount of INR 5000 per annum per head as financial help to a maximum of 20 blind candidates.
  3. The First and Second Rank holders will be offered a Cash Prize of INR 4000 and INR 3000 respectively.
  4. An amount of INR 2000 per annum will be offered as financial help to the candidates who belongs to poor family background. This scholarship is subjected to a maximum of 100 students.
  5. A one-time offer of INR 4000 (per student) will be offered to the Physically Handicapped candidates for their entire course term. This scholarship is subjected to a maximum of 25 students.
  6. Sleeper Class Rail Fare will be reimbursed to the candidates (excluding research scholars), who take part in any of the national-level seminars/symposia/conferences.
  7. A maximum of INR 5000 will be offered as financial help to the students for organizing Seminars/Workshops, at the Faculty/Institute level. These Seminars/Workshops should be beneficial to the students and are subject to a maximum of 10 Seminars/Symposia/Workshops per annum.

Eligibility Criteria for BHU Scholarship Form:

The Eligibility Criteria for a candidate to avail of this BHU scholarship are given below. Have a look.

Documents Required for BHU Scholarship Form: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) announces a scholarship scheme for the meritorious and needy candidates who come from the financially weaker sections of society. According to the BHU vice-chancellor Prof Rakesh Bhatnagar, a BHU scholarship will be offered to a student of the Central Hindu Boys School and two girls of the Central Hindu Girls School (both run by BHU). The candidates for this scholarship will be selected on the basis of their results in Class 5 every year. The scholarship-holding candidate will have to achieve at least 75 percent marks in every class.

As per the BHU public relations officer, Mr. Rajesh Singh, the 'Shrimati Pratibha, and Shri Vaidhyanath Banerjee scholarship scheme will come into effect from the current session. Bhatnagar's wife, Nirupama Banerjee, along with her kin, Sarju Geeta Banerjee and Ajeet Banerjee, took the initiative to start this scholarship in memory of her late mother and late father. The donors have offered INR 4.24 lakhs as a fund for the scholarship. Dr. Singh said that under this scholarship, all the meritorious and needy students of Central Hindu Boys School and two girls of central Hindu girls school will be offered complete school fees, stationery, books, and uniform from class 6 to class 12.

Banaras Hindu University, BHU Alumni Association, Ranchi provides Mahamana Malviya Scholarship for the students of Class XI and XII of CBSE schools. The Merit-cum-means scholarship called "Mahamana Malviya Scholarship" will be given to offering the tribute to legendry Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya, the founder of Banaras Hindu University. The main purpose of this scholarship is to help the poor and meritorious students to continue their higher education by mitigating their sufferings and economic hardship.

BHU Scholarship Form Details:

Mahamana Malviya Scholarship is offered to the candidates for the one-year duration which is renewable after considering all the conditions for another one (1) year. Two boys and two girls each from Class 11 and 12 will be selected for this scholarship. Each selected student will be offered a maximum amount of INR 10,000 in an academic year along with a citation. Only one student will be offered this scholarship from a family in an academic year.

The amount of this scholarship will be given through the Account Payee Cheque in the name of selected candidates. This BHU Scholarship Registration Form will be limited to the candidates of CBSE schools of the Ranchi Municipal area only. No more than 4 applications shortlisted by every school fulfilling all the criteria should be sent to the BHU Alumni Association.

Eligibility Criteria for BHU Scholarship:

  • Candidates of Class 11 and 12 scorings more than or equal to 60 % marks or CGPA 7 or B2 grade in the entire subjects at the annual exams are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 75% attendance throughout the academic year. An Attendance certificate will be needed from the principal of the school in this regard.
  • The candidates should have good discipline and no adverse report concerning the conduct is pending against him or her.
  • The income of the student’s parent or guardian should not be more than INR 100,000 (One lakh) per annum.
  • Candidates who are receiving scholarships from any other sources are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Selection Procedure for BHU Scholarship: The selection of students for this scholarship will be based on the academic result. Four (4) students (2 boys and 2 girls) of Class 11 will be selected for this scholarship. Fill the BHU Scholarship form to avail BHU Scholarship.

Students have to send the filled-in BHU Scholarship Registration form along with all the other required documents by courier or registered or speed post to the address given below.
