Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)

CAPF represents the Paramilitary Forces of India. The CAPF was established to secure and safeguard the country from various internal security and various threats. CAPF has progressed over the years to develop as a foundation of the defence system for India. The CAPF exams are administered by UPSC every year across the nation. The aim of this exam is to recruit suitable candidates for the role of Assistant Commandant in CAPF.

National Defence Academy (NDA)

NDA Exam is organised by UPSC to select candidates into the Indian Navy, Army and Air Force. This Examination allows young aspirants to realise their desire of serving their country in military uniform. This examination assesses candidates on the basis of their academic skill set, physical fitness, and Intelligence.

Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC)

The RIMC  is an Category 'A' foundation, managed through Army Training Command (ARTRAC) in the backing of the Indian Ministry of Defence.

Rashtriya Military School

Rashtriya Military Schools are the group of English medium residential Schools operated by the Defence ministry to pass the best education to the children from Classes 6th to 12th. These Schools are the members of Indian Public Schools Conference. Cadets can get admission though the common entrance test conducted by the Indian Ministry of Defence.

Sainik school

Sainik Schools are the residential schools for the cadets, providing Military education with the public school education. The schools are associated with the CBSE and supported by the state and Central funding.

Navy AA/SSR

The Indian Navy invites the request for the positions of sailors two times a year. The Indian Navy has two groups in which sailors can apply, Navy SSR and Navy AA. The training process for the Indian Navy SSR and AA aspirants is very identical.

Indian Air Force (IAF) group X and Y

The IAF conducts examinations for Group X and Y every year to find best candidates for the entry-level posts as an Airmen. This examination is operated to select the both non-technical (group Y) and  technical (group X). Candidates can get their aspiring post in the Indian Air Force.

INET (INDIAN NAVY ENTRANCE TEST)

The INET examination  is among the most competitive examinations for entry into the Indian Navy. The Indian Navy organises the INET exam two times a year. Aspirants will be selected for different posts in the Indian Navy on the base of their performance.

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)

The AFCAT is conducted by the Indian Air Force. The examination is organised two times a year once in February and August, only to select Class-I Officers in the ground duties and Flying (Technical and Non-Technical). Candidates are selected for their performance in online tests and the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) meets.

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS)

CDS is a position that proceeds as a single point for the advisory to the administration of this country  in the affairs of India’s military. CDS are the head of Navy, Army and Air Force and are four star military officers. 

Service Selection Board (SSB) interview

The SSB is an organisation founded by the Ministry of Defence. Aspirants who have cleared the written exam such as NDA, CDS, AFCAT, and other exams are also called for SSB Interview. This is a 5 day and two stages process in which aspirants who have been passed undergo various medical exams and other tests. The SSB Interview is the demanding process that helps to select the most deserving candidate for the officer training in Indian Armed Forces.
