➥ Delhi University, one of the most prestigious universities in India, offers a wide variety of courses, part-time degrees, etc to students from all over India. Every year almost around 48,500 students pass out of DU. Students irrespective of their caste, religion, and gender can enroll themselves and pursue any course of their choice.
➥ DU has a very efficient and structured administrative department that handles all the queries of students regarding application forms, migration certificates, etc. Students can avail online as well as offline modes of submission for any query regarding applications. In this article, we will specifically detail the procedure for obtaining the DU Migration Certificate.
➥ Students who wish to pursue higher studies in a different university other than DU or are changing states for the same reason must avail of the DU Migration Certificate.
➥ Candidates must also keep in mind that the DU Migration certificate must only be applied for if they are planning to study in any other college or university other than DU.
➥ The university or college you might be applying to will always require their students to show Migration certificates. The DU Migration Certificate is obtained after the candidate has completed their degree by attempting the university exam.
➥ Students hoping to obtain the migration certificate must go to their respective colleges and ask their administrative help desk for the migration certificate form. The college authorities will provide you with the migration certificate form, which the students must fill out carefully. Along with the migration certificate, some colleges may require you to write an additional application as well.
➥ After the completion of the form, the students need to pay the DU Migration Certificate Application Form cost, which is around Rs. 500/-. The students must get their migration certificate and application form attested by the college authorities. Once that is done, students must submit their attested migration certificate application form in the Delhi University department or the Vice Chancellor’s building.
➥ Students belonging to the south campus must submit their migration certificate application in the South Campus Delhi University Department, whereas, students belonging to the North Campus must submit their migration certification form in the North Campus Delhi University Department.

➥ Once the submission is done, the department will give the candidate an attested paper on which date the candidate must come to pick up his migration certificate.
➥ The time period is usually a week. Students need to wait a week before getting their DU Migration Certificate.
➥ On the date mentioned on the paper, students must reach the Delhi University Department and submit the attested paper. Once submitted, the students will get their migration certificate. They must keep it safe and not lose it, otherwise, they will have to apply for a duplicate migration certificate with an additional fee.
➥ The above procedure is for normal migration certificate cases. However, students of DU can also avail the Inter-College Migration procedure. This migration procedure is specifically for students who wish to change colleges within Delhi University. Sometimes, students gain admission in colleges that don’t offer their choice of course or the department is not that competent.
➥ DU gives those students another chance. They can change their college to gain admission in a college that provides their choice of course or has a competent department.

Documents that are required by the students for DU Migration certificate (Inter-college)
The photocopy of the documents the student submits must be self-attested by him or her. The original documents that students are required to submit can be collected after the verification process is complete.
