This pandemic has a direct impact on the Entrance Exam. Human Resource Development has decided to postpone the Entrance exam which includes JNU, UGC, NET and IGNOU, and several others due to this massive lockdown. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank Minister of Human Resource Development has tweeted that the national medical NEET exam has been postponed along with others.
The Director-General of the National Testing Agency has been advised to extend the last date of submission for various entrance examinations. The Ministry of Human Resource Development is also operating the NIOS, CBSE, and NTA to prepare a new schedule for the examinations. The NCERT and autonomous bodies have been advised to prepare an alternative academic calendar.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for submission of the registration form and the examination is supposed to be held on 30th, April without any late fee. Aspiring candidates can fillup the registration form on the official website of IGNOU. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed the Civil Service Personality Entrance Exam, NDA, and NA (I) exams too. ICAI CA and LOC AAO, AA, and AE Prelims exams have been postponed too.
Overall the deadline for all the entrance examinations is extended by one month. The ministry has taken these steps so that students can easily apply for the examinations later.
The exact date is not announced yet and it can postpone further according to the situation. The original dates of the JEE Main exam were April 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11. The NTA has informed that everything will be restored to normal once the situation gets controlled they are monitoring the situation to make further changes in the future.
The admit card for the JEE Mains candidates will be issued after 15 April if the situation stabilizes. National Testing Agency will provide the latest notifications and updates on their official website www.jeemain.nta.nic.in and www.nta.ac.in. The GMAT test is conducted in 114 different countries and it has over 650 test centers. The Global Management Admission Council is the body that conducts these tests have taken measures because of the coronavirus lockdown.
