Admission Process

After the completion of higher secondary exams (10+2), you can pursue a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy. To pursue a career in physiotherapy, you should have at least passed your higher secondary exams with subjects PCB ( Physics, Biology, Chemistry) with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. Certain entrance examinations are also conducted for students to apply in physiotherapy courses from a reputed college.   • Bachelor Course - You can pursue a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy after completing your higher secondary exam (10+2). After you successfully complete your bachelor’s degree. To earn admission in a reputed college, you should have at least passed your higher secondary exam with at least 50 % marks.
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

It is a 4 ½ year undergraduate programme that deals with the analysis and functioning of the body. After completing this programme, you can practice as a physiotherapist. It deals with enhancing the skill set of physiotherapists.

Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO)

The study of Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics deals with the movement of the body through natural or artificial means. After the completion of your course, you can practice as a prosthetics. The main work of a prosthetic is to create and fit artificial limbs in patients who are missing a small part of their limbs. An orthotics implement other tools and props to enhance the mobility and function of a patient’s limbs or spine.

Diploma Course

(DPT) DIPLOMA IN PHYSIOTHERAPY  - It is a three-year course which can be pursued after passing your higher secondary exam (10+2).   Diploma courses can stretch up to a time period of 2-3 years. Diploma in Physiotherapy is a skilled health science profession which involves the experience and skill to maintain and check problems affecting the concrete functioning of the human body and to maximize the description of human movement. Master Courses

Master of Physiotherapy is a Postgraduate Academic Degree granted for a course or programme in the division of Physical Therapy, more commonly known as Physiotherapy. It is also known as MPT or M.P.T. which is an abbreviated design of the Master of Physiotherapy degree. Some Institutes also condense it as 'M.P.Th' which also stands for Master of Physiotherapy. The duration of M.P.T. is 2 years. Physical therapy programs provide a realistic learning practice which concedes knowledge gain, skill and the required behaviour required from a specialist Physiotherapist. The course curriculum is based on case studies and clinical clientele so as to assist trainees in analytical thinking.

  • Doctoral course - You can also pursue P.HD programme in physiotherapy.
