Application Fee:
The application fee for IIT JAM 2025 is conveniently submitted through online modes, including net banking, debit/credit cards, UPI, etc. Notably, changing examination cities, test papers, categories, or genders incurs an additional fee of Rs. 300, in addition to any differences in the initial application fee. It is imperative for candidates to be aware that the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. The registration fee varies for different categories: for Female/SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is Rs. 900/- for one test paper and Rs. 1250/- for two test papers, while for all other candidates, the fee is Rs. 1800/- for one test paper and Rs. 2500/- for two test papers. General/OBC:
Candidates must have successfully passed the qualifying exam with an aggregate of 55% or a CGPA of 5.5 out of 10. In cases where a candidate is promoted without a mark sheet, a promotion certificate or another document indicating evidence of promotion, including the names of the subjects taken and marks scored, is required. This certificate must be signed by the head of the institute to validate the minimum educational requirements (MEQ).
SC/ST/PWD:
Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories should have passed the qualifying exam with an aggregate of 50% or a CGPA of 5 out of 10. Similar to other categories, if a candidate is promoted without a mark sheet, a promotion certificate or an alternative document serving as evidence for promotion is necessary. The document should include the names of the subjects taken and the corresponding marks, and it must be signed by the head of the institute to establish MEQ.
