UPPSC PCS 2025 Selection Procedure

Candidates for UPPSC PCS 2025 will be selected based on their performance in all three rounds of the selection process: preliminary exam, main exam, and interview. Qualified candidates from the preliminary exam will be shortlisted for the main exam, and those who pass the main exam will be invited to the last stage of the selection process, the interview exam.

UPPSC PCS 2025 Exam Pattern

The UPPSC PCS exam consists of three stages: the preliminary exam, the main exam, and the interview (personality test). The preliminary test is an objective type examination with two question papers.

UPPSC 2025 Preliminary Exam Pattern

• The UPPSC PCS 2025 Prelims exam is conducted offline and consists of two exams administered in distinct shifts.
• The total number of marks allotted to each paper is 200, and the total time allotted to complete each Prelims paper is 2 hours.
• Paper-1 (General Studies I) has 150 questions, whereas Paper-2 is worth 100 marks

Important points:

1. Paper II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper, with a minimum qualifying mark of 33%.
2. Candidates must sit in both papers of the preliminary examination.
3. The candidates' merit shall be judged by the marks obtained in Paper I of the Preliminary Examination.
