The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced the recruitment of Staff Nurse Examination Post Notification 2025. Interested candidates should apply online after reading details such as the age limit, pay scale, eligibility criteria, selection procedure, and overall information. They are recruiting 27 people for the post. They require 25 female candidates and 2 male candidates.

The application fee to be paid by the candidates belonging to the general category is Rs. 125. The candidates belonging to SC/ST should pay Rs. 95. The candidates in the PH category should pay Rs. 25. The fees should be paid in online mode only through debit card, credit card, net banking, SBI E Challan mode, etc.
Age Criteria
The minimum age requirement of candidates as of July 1, 2025, is 21 years, and the maximum age as prescribed by the notification is 40 years. But age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to the special category.
Qualifications of the Candidates
The candidates should pass the high school examination with science and also the intermediate examination of the board. The degrees should be from government-recognized institutes. The candidates may also obtain any equivalent degree.
After passing the intermediate examination, they should pass the diploma degree in general nursing or midwifery. Even candidates who have completed a B.Sc. in nursing are preferred.
Candidates who have completed a Diploma in Medical and Surgical Nursing (Unani) and are registered with the Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbi Medicine Board can apply.
They should possess a certificate of registration with the Nursing Council.
Exam Pattern
The examination is conducted in two different phases, namely preliminary and main.
Prelims Exam Pattern
The students should attempt 170 questions, and each question carries a ½ mark. Hence, the maximum score for a student is 85. For every wrong answer, 0.33 marks are deducted. The questions for each section are assigned as follows:
General Knowledge: 30 Questions
General Hindi: 20 questions
Main Subject of Nursing: 120
The duration of the examination is 2 hours, or 120 minutes.
Mains Exam Pattern
This examination consists of two parts and is descriptive. The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
Part A consists of five descriptive questions, and each question consists of five marks. The word limit is 125.
Part B consists of six questions, and the students should attempt four of them. Each question carries 15 marks, and the word limit for each question is 300 words.
For general knowledge, the students should prepare for topics such as the Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Politics and Governance, Indian Economy and Social Development, and Current Events of National and International Importance. In Hindi, they should study topics such as opposite words, one word for a phrase, adjectives, similar words, etc. They should also prepare for nursing by studying topics such as anatomy and physiology, the fundamentals of nursing, first aid, medical-surgical nursing, sociology, psychology, the concept of society, etc. For nursing staff nurses, they should study topics such as medical treatment methods in ancient India, pathology and treatment, human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, healthy lifestyles, pharmaceutical manas dosha, etc.
