UKPSC SI Recruitment 2025: Notification, Exam Dates, Eligibility Criteria

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has issued an advertisement about the recruitment of a sub-inspector for civil and intelligence purposes, a platoon commander, and a fire station second officer (PAC/RB). Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

If you are applying for the post of Civil Police and Intelligence, then you should be a graduate from any recognized university approved by the law of India. Otherwise, you should possess any equivalent qualification for the post.

A candidate applying for the post of platoon commander or Gulmnayak should be a male who is a graduate from a recognized university. Otherwise, the candidate should have acquired any equivalent degree approved by the government.

Anyone who is applying for the post of Fire Second Officer should be a science graduate from any recognized university approved by the law of India or have any other equivalent qualification. Candidates who possess a certificate in computer application of a minimum duration of six months from a recognized institute recognized by the state or central government.

Physical Standards

The minimum height requirement for males belonging to UR/SC/OBC/EWS is 167.7 cm, whereas for females it is 152 cm. The minimum height requirement for ST male candidates is 160 cm, whereas for female candidates it is 147 cm. The minimum height requirement for male candidates from hilly regions is 162.6 cm, and for female candidates, it is 147 cm.

The chest requirement for male candidates belonging to UR/SC/OBC/EWS is 78.8–83.8 cm, whereas for ST male candidates it is 76.5–81.5 cm. For candidates belonging to hilly areas, the minimum chest requirement is 76.5 to 81.5 cm.

The minimum body weight for females is 45 kg.

Physical Efficiency Test, or PET

  • The male candidates should be able to throw cricket balls at least 50 meters apart, and the female candidates should be able to throw them 20 meters apart.
  • The male candidates should be able to jump 13 feet longer, and the female candidates should be able to jump 8 feet longer.
  • The male candidates should walk and run for 5 kilometers in 30 minutes and the female candidates for 200 meters in 40 seconds.
  • The female candidates should skip 60 times in a minute, and a shuttle race of 25 x 4 meters is conducted, which they should complete in 29 seconds.
  • For men, dand baithak is conducted, and they should do it 40 times in 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Age Requirement

The candidate should be at least 21 years old and at most 28 years old, and age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to special categories as per norms.

Selection Procedure

Exam Pattern

The candidates should attempt Paper I and Paper II. For paper I, in general Hindi, they should solve 100 questions and 50 questions in general studies and reasoning. For Paper 2, they should solve 75 general awareness questions and 75 questions of mathematical ability. Paper I should be completed in 2 hours, and Paper 2 in 3 hours.
