NTA JEE Mains Exam Session II Check 2025 Exam Dates & Syllabus

The NTA has officially declared the JEE Main Session exam date for the year 2025. They should visit the official site of NTAJEEMains to know the timetable and exam details. So, the candidates who registered for Session 1 and want to apply for the next session should log in using the earlier application number and password.

Students who are experiencing problems with OTP using the Aadhar Enrollment number should register using a PAN or passport.

Eligibility Criteria for the Exam

Qualification

  • Students who have passed the 12th or any other equivalent examination in 2022 or 2025. But students who appeared for 12th grade in 2021 or earlier are not eligible. Even students who are appearing for the 12th examination in 2025 are also eligible.
  • The age limit is not prescribed.
  • For Paper I (BE, B. Tech), the major subjects in 12th should be physics and mathematics. The other subject could be biology, chemistry, technical, vocational, biotechnology, etc.
  • Candidates appearing for Paper 2A (BArch) should have chosen physics, chemistry, and math as major subjects in Class 12.
  • Students who are appearing for 2B (BPlan) should have chosen mathematics as a major subject.

Domicile

  • He or she should be an Indian citizen of Indian origin.
  • Even non-resident Indians, persons of Indian origin, or overseas citizens of India can apply for the test, but they should provide the required certificate.

Registration and application process for JEE Main Session 2:

  • The students should visit the official site at https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/.
  • They should choose the option ‘New Registration’ and register their name. Before filling out the form, they should read the instructions carefully. The details they should submit include personal details, a permanent address, a present address, etc.
  • They should fill in the remaining details, such as category, nationality, and session of application for the exam. They should also choose four cities in the order of their preference. After filling out the required information, they should upload the documents. The documents include the ID proof, age and birth proof, address proof, photo, signature, marksheets of 10th and 12th, certificates from school or institution, PwD certificate if applicable, and category certificate.
  • Then, after uploading the documents, they should further proceed with payment. The students appearing for B.E./B.Tech. or B.Arch./Planning should pay an application fee of Rs. 1000 if they are male and belong to the general, OBC, or EWS categories. Girls from the general, OBC, or EWS categories should pay Rs. 800. Students belonging to SC/ST, PWD, or transgender groups should pay an application fee of Rs. 500. Students appearing for two papers and males belonging to general, OBC, or EWS should pay Rs. 2000. For girls, the prescribed fee is Rs. 1,600. Students belonging to the special category and appearing for two papers should pay Rs. 1000.
  • Then, after paying the prescribed fees, verify the accuracy of the information. Then choose ‘Submit’ to submit information.
  • Take a copy of the printout for future use.

Exam Pattern

Every subject consists of two sections, namely Section A and Section B. The students should attempt MCQ questions. For Section A, the students should answer 20 questions from each subject. In Section B, the students should answer 10 questions from each subject. The students can attempt five questions.

The students should answer 20 questions of MCQ and 10 questions of numerical value, out of which only 5 are to be answered. They should know thoroughly about the NTA JEE syllabus. The test is held for 3 hours. The paper I consists of questions from physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Paper 2 consists of questions from aptitude, drawing, and mathematics.

The students are rewarded with 4 marks for every correct answer, and -1 is deducted for every incorrect answer. The students can score a maximum of 300 marks.
