Kerala NMMS 2025 exam date postponed to December 11; check the schedule

Students who have applied for the Kerala National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) should visit the official site of nmmse.kerala.gov.in to check the revised exam schedule as the exam is postponed to December 11. According to the notification issued earlier, the exam was to be held on December 7. The exam is conducted in two shifts.

This exam is meant for the students in Grade 8 who are applying for the scholarship program for this academic year. The students can opt to write in any of the four languages, namely Malayalam, English, Tamil, and Kannada. They are providing scholarships to 3473 students who pass the scholarship exam based on their scores.

Exam Schedule

Part I: Mental Ability Test (MAT)	10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
Part II: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)	1.30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The examination is conducted in two different parts, namely the mental ability test and the scholastic ability test. In each section, students should attempt 90 questions, and the duration of each paper is 1 ½ hours. The MAT test is a language test to assess proficiency in English and Hindi. For the SAT test, the questions pertain to core subjects such as science, math, and social studies.

It is held in offline mode, and the students should solve MCQ questions. The questions are appearing on the syllabus for grades 7 and 8. Each question carries one mark. Students whose parental income does not exceed 3.5 lakhs can apply for the scholarship exam. It is also meant for students who are enrolled in aided or governmental schools. The students should pass the test to become eligible for the scholarship program.

Students who require support benefit from the NMMS program to pursue secondary education, as they receive Rs. 12,000 annually as a reward.

Exam Pattern

Test	Syllabus
Mental Ability Test	Questions are based on verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities. The questions are in the form of classification, analogy, hidden figures, pattern perception, etc.
Scholastic Ability Test	The questions are based on core topics such as social studies, science, and mathematics that are studied in grades 7 and 8.

Application Form

The application form is available on the official website of the National Means Merit Scholarship at nmmse.kerala.gov.in. Before applying for the scholarship program, read the information brochure from NMMS. Then enter the details on the form correctly, as required. After filling out the details, pay the application fees and submit the form. Save a copy of the printout for further reference.

Download Admit Card

After applying for the scholarship program, you are issued an admit card some days prior to the exam. To download an admit card, visit the site at nmmse.kerala.gov.in. On the information brochure, you can acquire information about downloading. If SCERT Kerala is issuing admit cards online, then you can log in at nmmse.kerala.gov.in to download the hall ticket. You can check the NMMS exam date, time, and exam center.

Result of the Exam

• To log in for the NMMS Kerala result, you can download the NMMS Kerala merit list 2025 PDF at nmmse.kerala.gov.in.
• Students eligible for the scholarship:
• The annual income of the parents should be less than $3,50,000.
• The student should be in Grade 8 and studying at a well-known government-aided school or local body to appear for the exam.
• Students in the general category should secure a minimum of 55% in 7th grade, and students in the reserved category should secure a minimum of 50% in 7th grade.
• Pupils of Standard 8 should apply for the NMMS exam in 2024, visiting the administration of the school.
