One of India's most esteemed universities is Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Every year, thousands of students from all over the country apply for admission to JNU.

The JNU Entrance Exam is one of the most competitive exams in India, as it tests the knowledge and skills of students in various fields. In this article, we will discuss the JNU Entrance Exam 2025, Interview Process, and Placement.

The JNU Entrance Exam 2025 is expected to be held in May/June 2025. The application process will begin in March/April 2025. The exam will be conducted online mode, and the duration of the exam will be three hours.

The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and descriptive questions. The questions will be based on the syllabus of the undergraduate or postgraduate program that the candidate has applied for.

Entrance Exams 2025 at JNU

The admission process heavily relies on the entrance exams, which hold significant importance in determining your future. Jawaharlal Nehru University administers three rounds of these tests annually.

1. A test named the Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted for the first round by both government and private schools all over the country. It comprises two levels, one for undergraduate and the other for postgraduate admissions.

2. The second stage is known as JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), which is conducted on a national level by CBSE. It evaluates applicants based on their abilities in Mathematics and Reasoning, English language proficiency, and IT knowledge.

3. Jawaharlal Nehru University conducts the third and ultimate stage known as the Indian Aptitude Test (IAT) to evaluate students' academic potential. The test covers a broad range of subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Statistics, and more.

Interview Process at JNU

1. The initial stage is the screening round, followed by the PI round, during the Interview Process at JNU. In the screening round, candidates are evaluated based on their statements and interviews with faculty members. Each candidate has an opportunity to impress a faculty member.

2. The next stage of the interview process is known as the PI round. It involves the interview of candidates who have successfully passed the screening round. The departmental heads and other department heads conduct the interview.

3. Following the interview, you will receive a selection letter along with the PI letter and a duplicate of your academic transcript. If you are granted an interview, it will take place on the JNU campus.

There are three interview rounds in total. The first is a preliminary interview, followed by two additional rounds. Each round involves interviewing four students.

The capability of students taking part in the interview procedure

It is recommended that students take part in the interview process, and they should prepare by reviewing the job description and position requirements. Participating in the interview provides students with a chance to gain insight into the duties and responsibilities associated with the position, and to learn more about the work they will be performing.

During the interview, applicants have the chance to express their enthusiasm for the position, inquire about any concerns they have, and offer feedback on their interactions with the University. To comply with the necessary requirements, students are advised to bring along their resume and transcript, whether official or unofficial, as well as any other required documents, with one copy of each.

Selecting Process of Final Candidates at JNU

1. Candidates are invited to participate in face-to-face interviews on campus.

2. A specific date and time will be communicated to the candidates to arrive at the campus interview location.

3. The candidates will be assessed in written and verbal communication skills, technical skills, yoga, computer skills, general knowledge, and other relevant areas.

4. During the campus tour, the candidates will have the chance to engage with professors, students, alumni, and other staff members of JNU.

5. Once all of the tests have been finished, the candidates will be evaluated on their performance in written exams, personal interviews, group discussions, and other factors, and then selected for the next stage.

6. The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in all stages of the selection process, such as general/written tests, personal interviews, group discussions, and other criteria.

7. The final list of chosen candidates will be compiled by taking into account all stages of the selection process.

Placement at JNU

JNU has a dedicated Placement Cell that provides support to students seeking internships and job placements.
