• Total marks: 150.
• Time Duration: 2:00 hours (120 minutes).

• Number of Questions: 200 objective-type questions
• Marking scheme: One point for each correct answer.
• Negative marking: Negative marking is deducted for each wrong answer.

• Time Duration: 2:30 hours (150 minutes).

Paper III: English/Hindi-Descriptive Paper

Selection Process

The selection procedure for the positions of ASO and SO comprises several steps, which are as follows.

• Section Officer (Gen, F&A, S&P):
• Paper - I and II
• Paper III: Interview with Assistant Section Officer (Gen/F&A/S&P)
• Paper I and II Paper III CPT

Salary Details

The CSIR 2025 salary structure is thought to be quite profitable. Section Officers would be paid between Rs. 47,600 and Rs. 1,51,100. The pay scale for the position of Assistant Section Officer will be Rs. 44,900-1,42,400.
