The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program is a postgraduate professional documentation offered internationally by the America-based CFA Institute to investment and financial players. The program teaches a wide range of subjects related to advanced investment analysis which includes security analysis, statistics, probability theory, fixed income, derivatives, economics, financial analysis, corporate finance, alternative investments, and portfolio management, and offers a generalist knowledge of other areas of finance.

CFA Important Dates

CFA Application fees

CFA Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for any CFA exam, candidates must check out the eligibility criteria to verify whether they are eligible or not. If candidates do not meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification, then their application will not be considered. The eligibility criteria for all three levels are as follows.

For level 1 

1. Bachelor's Degree - A candidate must have completed a Bachelor's or equivalent program and have a degree from a recognized university/ college. 

2. Undergraduate Student - A candidate must have 23 months or less left before the graduation month in order to enroll for the CFA Level 1.

3. Work experience - A candidate must have a combination of higher education that is acquired of at least 4 years and/ or work experience of 4000 hours. This is to be completed before CFA level 1 registration in 2025. Also, the dates of professional work experience of the candidate and the education should not be overlapping. Internships and articleships that are paid are also recognized as work experience by the CFA Institute.

For level 2 

Because CFA exams are only given in English, candidates must be fluent in the language. Therefore, in order to read comprehension and respond to a variety of intricate financial scenarios, candidates must be fluent in English.
Candidates are required to possess a valid passport for international travel. Those without such documentation will not be permitted to register for or take the CFA level 2 exam.

• Applicants must submit a "Professional Conduct Statement Form" attesting to their compliance with the requirements; this form must be completed by all candidates.
• Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Undergraduate candidates must be within 11 months of graduation to sit for the Level II exam.
• Work experience - A candidate must have a combination of higher education that is acquired of at least 4 years and/ or work experience of 4000 hours. Also, the dates of professional work experience of the candidate and the education should not be overlapping. The CFA Institute also considers internships/articleships as work experience if they are paid.

For level 3 

Must have completed CFA Levels 1 and 2 before registering.

• should be a graduate of any accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree
• four thousand hours of professional work experience, or a minimum of thirty-six months' worth of combined education and work experience. Working and studying should not take up the same amount of time.

Steps to fill out the CFA Level 1,2,3 form

Eligible aspirants who are applying can apply online for CFA level 1,2,3 via the official website of the exam conducting body by keeping in mind the following steps. Candidates must visit the official website to fill in their Application Form. Candidates should read the official notification once before filling out the form. 

• Visit the official website of the CFA Institute at https://www.cfainstitute.org/
• At the homepage click on the apply online link.
• Click on one-time registration and give in your personal information, valid email ID, valid mobile number, and application fee according to the category.
• After completing the registration process, fill out the application form and submit your educational qualifications and other details.
• Upload your recently scanned colored passport-size photographs and signature in the suggested format as mentioned in the instructions.
• Before clicking on the final submission, candidates must ensure all details are correct.

CFA Admit Card

According to the official notification, the CFA level 1,2,3 Admit Card 2025 will be available for download through its official website. Candidates who will complete their CFA level 1,2,3 Online Application Process can download the admit card once released on the website.

In other words, your admit card will be shown on the website only if you have successfully and correctly filled out and submitted the online application form. The CFA level 1,2,3 admit card must be released by the exam conducting authority.

Carrying a valid CFA level 1,2,3 admit card is necessary for all the applying candidates to appear in the exam. No candidate will be allowed to sit in the exam without the Admit Card. The exam conducting authority will declare the Admit card before the date of the examination.

Steps to Download the Admit Card

• Visit the official website of the exam conducting authority ie. https://www.cfainstitute.org/
• On the homepage, you will see a menu where all the latest notifications are appearing.
• Find the notification that is showing "Download CFA Level 1,2,3 Admit Card 2025"
• After that, they will ask you to log in using the submitted details. Enter the needed information and click on the submit button.
• Now, your CFA level 1,2,3 Admit card will appear on the screen, you have to download the admit card.
• After downloading your admit card, don't forget to take one or two printouts of the admit card.  

CFA Answer Key 

The answer key of any examination is released after the examination. The reason behind releasing the answer key after the exam is to provide the candidates an insight into their coming results. The answer keys for each subject are released separately.

The answer key will be released on the official website i.e., https://www.cfainstitute.org/ after the examination. This will help the candidates to notice the right answer as well and they will be able to track their marks. The candidates are given a chance to raise objections if they find any query.

• Login through your submitted details
• The answer key for your paper will appear on your screen
