National testing agency has given certain updates about JEE 2019 exams. More than 11 lakh students appeared for the paper ii. The engineering entrance exams in CBT format are going to start from today. Around 9,29,198 students have filled up the registration form for JEE main 2019 examinations. National testing agency is also going to conduct an exam in the month of April of this year.
JEE main updates include that the JEE exam is going to be held in 458 centres in 258 states all over India. There are 9 other centres as well but they are in Jammu and Kashmir. Around 7551 students have filled up the registration form from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, there are bad weather and transport condition is Jammu and Kashmir. Due to these bad weather conditions, some students were not able to reach the examination centre for the NEET PG exam. It depends on how many will be able to make it to the JEE exam.
Security measures to be taken during the exam
Just like in University grants commission NET examinations, considerable security features were executed for the main JEE test. Joint Entrance Examination is going to be a full computer-based exam. To make sure that unfair means is not adopted during the examination, NTA has taken certain necessary measures. Around 4000 jammers are going to be installed in the examination centres so that there are no mobile interferences during the examination. Other than that, the systems are going to be placed in the rooms where there will be CCTV surveillance in all the exams.
Also, JEE main updates mention that NTA has created a control room and hired 566 observers, 25 state coordinators, and 254 city coordinators. Additionally, there is going to be a third party audit in the exam centres to make sure that there is no maleficence. The first exam of JEE 2019 is going to be conducted in 8 shifts starting from this very day. Starting from January 9 to January 12.
